• Convenient location, comfortable, and modern room.
• Parking garage location, fee for parking or valet, and no towel racks.

“This hotel was what I expected for a Holiday Inn. The room was comfortable, if a little small. Great location, convenient to restaurants and right across the street from where the Bobcats play. They did put us in the room next to the service elevator, but we were not disturbed by noise.”

• In walking distance to many restaurants and metro rail.
• Pool was not available.

“Very nice hotel in downtown Charlotte with valet service. This room was nicer looking than some of the other Holiday Inn locations I have stayed at in Charlotte.”

“Hotel appears to be new and is very nice. Rooms are comfortable. There is a restaurant and bar on premises with many additional restaurants and bars within walking distance.”

• Clean, comfy room, quiet despite loud noisy outdoor bar across the street.
• Parking garage is a scary walk outside and around a corner to the front door.

“I've stayed in this hotel before and had a good experience then, too. I liked the room I had before better, though. This time the room was smaller and there was no sink and vanity in the bathroom, instead there was a counter-top sink outside of the bathroom next to the closet. So you might want to clarify your sink preference before settling on a room. Otherwise, everything was very nice and I would still stay there again. Good location, friendly staff, comfy linens and bed.”

• Rooms were extremely comfortable.

“For business downtown, this is a great location. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff is friendly. I was not prepared for the $12 a day parking charge, but that should be expected anytime you stay in an uptown/downtown hotel.”

• Easy to get to off I-77, modern decor, kids loved the roof top pool.
• Pool closed too early.

• Many pillows and warm feeling upon entering room with TV on and obvious creature comforts.
• It took an hour to get problem solved to use the internet - partly my fault. Hotel employee said he would return but didn't.

“The room was clean, had all the amenities, only basic cable channels, and problems at first with the internet connection. The parking entrance was inconvenient, having to go outside down dark alley-like area. An inside garage entrance would be great. All-in-all, quite pleasant hotel with services.”

• Excellent hotel. Made us feel like VIP guests.
• We found nothing wrong at this hotel.

“Beautiful. Pool and hot tub on the roof! Treated us like we were VIP's. Coffee pot, alarm clock, smelled and the staff was clueless.”

• Both the hotel and room were modern and impressive. Great location uptown great rooftop pool!
• I had a hand held shower nozzle with fittings that needed tightening. Took 2 days to get a replacement.

“I found the lobby to have an upscale look, but not so upscale that I did not feel uncomfortable walking through with shorts and a T-shirt. Access to the hotel roof allowed a unique opportunity with the pool and Jacuzzi, along with spectacular views. The room itself was attractive and adequate. My one frustration centered around the four showers I had to take with water spraying where it should not through the damaged hand held shower head. Two requests for repair in two days was unnecessary in my opinion. Otherwise worth it!”

• It was right in the center of everything.
• One of the staff at the desk was very rude.

“Very much dug it. I hate to stay it, but try to steer clear of the short guy behind the desk. Rude.”

• Management helped relocate us to another room.
• Room on first night was terrible, could not sleep because of noise. Requested another room.

“First night in this hotel was bad. The room we were given was located on above the main street, across from a night club with loud music playing until 4 AM. Had to try to sleep on the floor on the other side of the bed until 4 AM.”

• The walk from the parking garage elevator to the door of the hotel.

“Very roomy and clean room with comfy bed & sheets. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location. Surprisingly quiet despite Downtown traffic and late night clubs just across the street. I didn't hear a thing.”

“Great interior, but when you pull up there is only room for one car, and the parking in very difficult. If you valet, once they bring your car around you are parked in the street and have minutes to get in and get off before getting honked at. But, the hotel was lovely, great staff, great pool, and wonderful location.”

• Clean and quiet.
• I had to go outside the hotel to get to the parking garage.

“The hotel decor and room was nice and clean. The beds were fine for me but my husband thought they were hard. There was a loud band playing in the bar across the street and we did not hear it in our room. The room was very quiet to all outside noise. The staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was 12.00 a night and the garage access was out the main door and around the corner. It would have been nice to know that I had to take the parking ticket into the hotel to be validated. It would have saved me a trip back out the hotel around the corner to the garage to get the ticket to be validated by the front desk. Our room had a view of the roof top of the next building. The hotel was centrally located to everywhere we needed to be in Charlotte. All in all, it was great for what we needed. Would stay here again.”

• Staff was excellent. Rooms very clean.
• I prefer my sink in the bathroom. Not environmentally friendly.

“Little surprised at lack of environmentally friendly. At the last 4 hotels, from NY to Colo., all those left cards regarding the changing of sheets every other day for extended guests. No need for sheets to be done every day, and towels also. Invest in the cards and save our planet, especially with a drought. Styrofoam cups. A big no-no. Safety. We had a blackout, no safety lights on in the halls, quite un nerving. Generator took a long time to click on. My husband was stuck in the lobby for 2 hours. He uses a cane, awaiting surgery and couldn't walk up 11 flights. Let others on before him 1 elevator working with the generator 7 people max. So that part wasn't very good. Hotel offered free coffee in the morning, None left in the carafes.”
