• The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The room was comfy.
• A little noisy. Could hear folks coming and going and doors slamming. Toilet kept running. Annoying.

• The bathroom extras (shampoo, etc.) were nutrogena. Nice to have a brand name.
• There was neither a complementary breakfast or wireless Internet, a large negative for those who are there for business.

“Nice hotel. Would have been helpful to have free wireless Internet, and a free breakfast bar I would have expected from a 3.5 star hotel.”

• Clean, nicely appointed.
• They were too understaffed.

“They were too understaffed. Day after Thanksgiving, Friday morning, no kitchen staff so desk staff had to do continental breakfast and never really did get it set up. Coffee they did make was weak and then ran out. No restaurants nearby. But, hotel was nice.”

• Decent sized room, of appropriate quality.
• Carpet had a few tears. A few ladybugs in room.

“Better than most Doubletrees I've stayed at. However, they need to stop charging for wireless iInternet access; that alone would make me think twice about staying there, as a business person.”

• Convenient to airport; clean rooms. Comfortable beds.

“This hotel, located in a Business Park, has great access to the airport and is surprisingly quiet. Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. Check in was efficient and those cookies are just darn good. Great stay.”

• Friendly staff.
• No hot tub. Far from downtown. Smoking room. Had to walk through wedding to get out of room. Only had a room with 1 bed needed 2.

“The hotel was nice but it didn't have a hot tub. What kind of 3 star doesn't have a hot tub. They only had a smoking room available. It was so far from downtown that we couldn't go out. The bar closed early. This was suppose to be my vacation from coming back from a deployment but it was ruined.”

• The bed, pillow & chair was very comfortable.

• The manager was very nice!
• The carpet was dirty and the hotel smelled like smoke. The staff was not very friendly.

“Overall I am extremely disappointed with the Double tree hotel and will probably not stay there again. I will not recommend it to other as well!”

• There is an extra charge of 10 dollars for internet.

“The hotel is exception but charges additional 9.95 per day for internet. I expected to pay an amount and got hit with an additional 9.95 per day. There is an additional charge for a non smoking room.”

• Beautiful room accommodations, we arrived late at night so we didn't use any facilities.

“This was probably one of the nicest hotels. Great location and beautiful room accommodations. We arrived late on our way to Hilton head from Ohio. It is usually a positive experience for a great price.”

• The pillows were so soft. The bed was like home.
• The air unit was on the fritz and ran constantly.

“The hotel is great! The staff was very helpful and nice. I thought the previous reviews about the staff being rude were totally unfounded in my experience. The pool is a lap pool with 2 rows so it was great exercise and the kids liked playing, too. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We travel to Charlotte often and I will try to get this hotel again.”
