“Overall, the hotel would have been okay. The only problem was there was only 1 room left and it was a smoking room. I had to stay at another hotel because I have allergies and I couldn't go to my job interview smelling like cigarette smoke. There was also large amounts of dust on the ceilings. It looked like it hadn't been dusted in quite some time.”

“If you plan on staying for business go for it, close to Zoo and a few miles to shopping and down town. Rooms are very dark and dreary, needs some updating. Staff won't give you clean towels until you take them old towels, a problem when you are taking showers and there aren't enough towels to start with!”

“The walls are very thin. Above of heads, you could hear everything happening. Ended up hearing a violent fight in progress and had to call the police to stop it. Not the hotels fault, and they handled it in the correct manner.”

“This is not a hotel I would recommend. It is old and needs repair in a number of areas. In addition, it was not clean. Even if it might have been clean in some areas, we never would have seen it because the general appearance of the room and common areas was so unattractive.”

“The hotel is poorly maintained. Ventilation is poor-the entire hallway smelled of cigarettes. The lobby, hall and rooms have stained carpet.”

“The room was spacious and clean, although quite bare of any extras. The bed was quite comfortable and firm, although it would have been nice to have extra pillows (only 2 pillows provided). The couch made a pull out bed which was nice for our teenage daughter, but again, only one pillow provided. An elevator would have been nice, since we were on the 3rd floor. I wasn't expecting to have to climb stairs! We did have a very noisy neighbor, but one phone call to the office and the noise stopped immediately. We stayed only one night and didn't use the kitchen in our room, but for more than one night or a long vacation, the kitchen would have been great to have. Overall, the facilities were fine for 2-star accommodations. The place was clean with a comfortable bed. That's all we wanted, really.”

“This hotel is great for a work crew who will be staying weeks due to work. For the business traveler this hotel is terrible. I actually left and went to another hotel because I did not feel comfortable staying in this nasty room or hotel. I would not refer anyone to this hotel!”

“The hotel is in a good location to the zoo. There are no elevators so if your room is on the third floor you will have to lug your bags up a few flights of stairs. There is no free wireless and the TV in our room was very small. Room had lots of room and full kitchen was very convenient. People in room next to us were making quite a bit of noise at 1 AM and the walls do not silence the noise. Hotel staff was called and they quickly went to the room and tried to quiet the people down. There is no complimentary breakfast but there was coffee in the lobby which was a nice touch. Overall the hotel was OK.”

“It was a Saturday night and I was pleased at first, but then just before midnight a basketball team came in and kept me up until 4 AM, when I was supposed to be leaving to pick my Fiancée up at the train station. I didn't get any sleep until returning from the station. I had tried to call hotel staff on several occasions but no one was in the office that night. It was horrible! I complained the next morning and all that was said was oh, well they should've told you about the team on your floor and given you the option to choose another room at check-in (which they did not). I had to complain to corporate through the Internet website to get anything done about the problems I encountered. I would consider staying at one of their other properties, but never that one again!”

“Good location, though Waffle House is the only close-by restaurant, suite with kitchenette is nice (had all the tools and gadgets you'd need), staff was helpful. No complaints for the price.”
