“ I received better service from a Super 8 hotel for much cheaper. I was disappointed with being treated like a second class citizen due to how I booked my vacation. When discussing it with staff they were argumentative. ”

“The Hyatt Regency in Savannah was conveniently located on the Savannah River and in the heart of the historic district. Most attractions that we wanted to visit like River Street and Paula Deen's The Lady and Sons restaurant were within easy walking distance of the hotel. The staff, especially housekeeping and the valet service, were polite, helpful, and friendly. The rooms were well furnished and the glass elevators were a hit with our four-year old daughter.”

“Could use some updating. But it was good enough for us. Our air conditioning wasn't working upon entering the room, but they got it fixed within 5 minutes. I also wished the tub drain ran more smoothly. Served our vacation wonderfully though - thanks Priceline.”

“Great location to visit Savannah. The Riverwalk with shops and bars is a great place to go at night. Downtown is just steps ahead for more sight seeing and shopping!”

“A perfectly located hotel. Unfortunately valet parking was mandatory and cost $18 plus tips. The interior of the hotel did feel very dated but the rooms were large. The staff was friendly.”

“Hotel was very noisy with drunks yelling in the atrium at all hours of the night.”

“Had an inside room near elevator. Couldn't open curtain because people could look right in. Elevator beeped all the time. The location of the hotel is very good.”

“Upscale furnishings, and a beautiful atrium. Mediocre customer service. They put us in a room that was already occupied, so we walked in on a couple at almost midnight. They did not apologize for the inconvenience. The upgraded us to a suite, not for our trouble, but because it was the only room left in the hotel.”

“It was very nice. We had a partial river view. Very convenient to everything with an elevator right onto River St. in the back and Bay St. in the front. Would recommend to anyone if you can get a deal like I did on Priceline.”

“I'm not sure that this is typical. I was taken aback that the person who parked my car said that he needed a tip to park the car. Seemed kind of crass to me.”

“The hotel was great, our room was over the river, you see large ocean ships going by the room, etc. Overlooking riverfront building, best view ever. Very clean, and great desk personnel. No complaints about the room, great beds etc.”

“Disappointed with stay. Terrible example of a Hyatt property. Dirty hotel. Mildew, rust and human hair in bathroom. Holes in walls in room.”

“When we arrived at the hotel, we were informed that there would be an 8-hour power outage in the hotel the following day. To compensate, we were upgraded to a balcony room, in which the balcony door did not open. After having that repaired, the door then did not lock. Our room was located directly above a ballroom, so we had to listen to a wedding reception until 1:00 in the morning on our first night. During the 2nd night, we woke up to the stench of raw sewage in the room (probably due to the humidity level in the room after the power had been out all day). Very disappointed that the hotel did not contact guests prior to their visit to inform them of the scheduled power outage so that other plans could be arranged.”

“Easily accessible and centrally located. Elavator from hotel brings you down to the river walk. Less than five minutes from the market and great eating establishments. Clean and safe.”

“The valet is underground pickup and parking is quite expensive. The hotel staff weren't overly friendly-especially in relation to hotel staff at another hotel in Savannah I stayed in less than a week before. The rooms are nice, as with any Hyatt, but the windows do not open and the air was not exceptionally effective. Still, if you are in Savannah to take advantage of Ruver street and its bars and restaurants, the Hyatt is positioned right amidst the excitement.”
