  • Close to everything.
  • Noisy.

“Hotel was very noisy with drunks yelling in the atrium at all hours of the night.”

  • Great location, only disappointed we didn't stay longer.
  • Breakfast of some type could be included.

“Great location, very friendly staff, helpful with local knowledge; restaurants.”

  • Location.
  • Key card reader did not work very well. Needed for elevator and doors.

“Had an inside room near elevator. Couldn't open curtain because people could look right in. Elevator beeped all the time. The location of the hotel is very good.”

“Upscale furnishings, and a beautiful atrium. Mediocre customer service. They put us in a room that was already occupied, so we walked in on a couple at almost midnight. They did not apologize for the inconvenience. The upgraded us to a suite, not for our trouble, but because it was the only room left in the hotel.”

  • Convenience to everything and iPod station.
  • I never got the wake-up call or the reminder call I requested.

“It was very nice. We had a partial river view. Very convenient to everything with an elevator right onto River St. in the back and Bay St. in the front. Would recommend to anyone if you can get a deal like I did on Priceline.”

  • The general layout was excellent.
  • Valet parking was almost do it yourself.

“A very nice clean and friendly hotel, spacious room, all the staff were very helpful.”

  • The view of the river from our room was very nice.
  • $18 to park!

“I'm not sure that this is typical. I was taken aback that the person who parked my car said that he needed a tip to park the car. Seemed kind of crass to me.”

“Excellant for sightseers.”

  • Incredible view of the river from my room.
  • Valet parking.

“The hotel was great, our room was over the river, you see large ocean ships going by the room, etc. Overlooking riverfront building, best view ever. Very clean, and great desk personnel. No complaints about the room, great beds etc.”

  • Great location for walking around Savannah's historic district.

“This hotel had a beautiful lobby and great location for Downtown Savannah. Very helpful staff and concierge. The room was very nice and had a beautiful view of the river.”

  • Location.
  • Dirty hotel. Mildew, rust and human hair in bathroom. Holes in walls in room.

“Disappointed with stay. Terrible example of a Hyatt property. Dirty hotel. Mildew, rust and human hair in bathroom. Holes in walls in room.”

  • Do not appreciate lack of notice regarding scheduled power outage.

“When we arrived at the hotel, we were informed that there would be an 8-hour power outage in the hotel the following day. To compensate, we were upgraded to a balcony room, in which the balcony door did not open. After having that repaired, the door then did not lock. Our room was located directly above a ballroom, so we had to listen to a wedding reception until 1:00 in the morning on our first night. During the 2nd night, we woke up to the stench of raw sewage in the room (probably due to the humidity level in the room after the power had been out all day). Very disappointed that the hotel did not contact guests prior to their visit to inform them of the scheduled power outage so that other plans could be arranged.”

  • Wonderful riverfront location. Great price.

“Easily accessible and centrally located. Elavator from hotel brings you down to the river walk. Less than five minutes from the market and great eating establishments. Clean and safe.”

  • Proximity to restaurants, bars, shopping. Literally right on river street.
  • An attendant or security personnel in the river street lobby would be a useful addition for professional and safety purposes.

“The valet is underground pickup and parking is quite expensive. The hotel staff weren't overly friendly-especially in relation to hotel staff at another hotel in Savannah I stayed in less than a week before. The rooms are nice, as with any Hyatt, but the windows do not open and the air was not exceptionally effective. Still, if you are in Savannah to take advantage of Ruver street and its bars and restaurants, the Hyatt is positioned right amidst the excitement.”

  • Clean and luxury.
  • HBO and Movies are not free and plus they are too expensive.

“The Hyatt Hotel is a luxury and grandeur experience, it is worth an almost four stars. Guests are treated with respect and warmth welcome. With such a luxurious one night stand, it is ashame that the night stay is left empty handed without free or inexpensive HBO or Movies. Guests are left with local channels that make the night seem melancholy, lonely, and disappointed. Second chance to rate the hotel would only award it a 2.5 stars just for the sake of a place to rest. A full relaxation on a vacation would have been to another hotel that offer better options.”

  • Great location in Historic District.
  • No hot tub to wind down after a long day. $18 parking fee is excessive!

“Very nice hotel, updated rooms, well decorated. Right in the heart of the historic district.”

  • The beds/pillows were very comfortable.
  • Very little water pressure in the shower.

“The overall appearance of the hotel is wonderful-- very clean and inviting. Finding the entrance to the driveway of the hotel was a little challenging for a first time visitor, maybe a large sign on Bay Street would help (a larger sign if one already exists). I also think that the valet fee should run $10-15/car as opposed to the $18. However, I did appreciate the fact that our cars were sheltered and safe.”

  • Location.
  • Pressure for tips from valet.

“When checking in was told I could only use valet and not self park. Was then informed that with and extra special tip my car would be sure to be taken care of.I gave the valet two dollars and told him my car had better be taken care of. He looked at the tip and frowned.”

  • Absolutely gorgeous view, very sweet and accommodating staff!

“We really loved our stay in this hotel - loved our view! We had a great check in who gave us the loveliest view and gave books about Savannah to our children. And we bid on this one without knowing where we would stay and got an amazing deal and loved the location and hotel!”
