• It was convenient to restaurants and shopping,
• There was no hot water the first morning I was there!

“The hotel was just average in accomodations.I found where the small coffeemaker had leaked on the bathroom counter and it had not been wiped up, so it made me wonder how thoroughly the room had been cleaned. The continental breakfast was better than most, as they had eggs, bacon, grits, potatoes, toast, bagels, and cereal.”

• The price.
• Staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. Hotel needs to be remodeled.

“The staff was really rude. I overheard a receptionist put a customer on hold because she was too busy to deal with them. Then the other receptionist laughed. Overall staff that I dealt with was rude and unwelcoming. If you don't like your job get a new one!”

• Eco friendly, short showers, out of room-little electricity used increased sightseeing from not being able to sleep on hard mattress.
• Not too frequent wake up aircraft fly over.

“Breakfast was average and repetitive. Stay here if you plan on being away from your room a lot!”

• No locks on doors to prevent opening from outside.

“Good location. Staff friendly. Great breakfast. Rooms just average. No security locks on doors. Someone was able to enter our room when we were asleep, but closed the door immediately.”

• Location was great; just up the street from the historic district and down the road from great eating and shops.
• Old style room entrance from the outside.

“Older style Holiday Inn, clean and in a great location. Historic district an few blocks down the street and great eating/shopping a few blocks to the south. Felt safe; good hot breakfast.”

• It's location is not near where the most seen sites are.

“This was a clean, quiet hotel, the ice machine nearby wasn't working. The location as to most of the major attractions was not good, especially to those who have trouble finding their way about the city.”

• Great location to local mall and various restaurants. Located on main artery into downtown Savannah.
• Older hotel. Sign damaged.

“Located near area mall and great restaurant choices. Basic amenities, but great staff attitude. Great location for the budget conscience traveler who does not mind riding 15-20 minutes to the historic district.”

• Very convenient location; free internet; was given a room in the back (so very quiet); room smelled good.
• Bathroom caulking needs updating; stairway leading to upstairs is dark and creepy.

“I knew that I could not really complain about anything. Despite that, the hotel surpassed my expectations. The room seemed to be clean (it smelled good, which is unusual for hotels), but the bathroom caulking needs to be updated. Just that would have changed my 2 star rating to a 2.5. I liked that I was put in a room in the back upstairs so I had very little outside noise. I didn't like the dark stairwell to get to the second level, though.”

• Rooms were clean, breakfast was excellent!
• No hot tub.

“I thought your complimentary breakfast was a 5 Star. Your night club was a lot of fun sad that it does not open for a Happy Hour Cocktail. I would definitely stay at this Hotel again, and having a side entrance was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much. Stated it had an ironing board and iron - well the iron was not in the room, but after requesting it twice, we did receive an iron. Put in for a wake up call - but did not receive one - thank goodness one of us woke up about 1/2 hour after we should have received the call - just a little hectic trying to get out in time, but it was OK.”

• There were roaches; had to change room.

“The staff was pleasant; however, the rooms could be taken care of in a better way and even the cleanliness of the yard could be better. There were 3 small roaches in the first room we checked in, so we had to change room, which took away our time. The look of the hotel is old; the hotel sign could be cleaner. The breakfast and service need to be improved. There were not enough personnel to clean the table; we had to ask to have a table cleaned as well as ask for coffee. The location was good even though we were a few miles away from the central attractions. However, I would still not go back to this hotel.”

• Rooms were recently updated; convenient location.
• There was a fire the first night we arrived and no one from the hotel followed up with those affected.

“The location was convenient and the rooms were recently updated. There was a small fire in a stairwell resulting in evacuation and the fire department arriving. All notifications worked well but it would have been nice for someone at the hotel to check on everyone after it was over.”

• The rooms were clean, the furniture looked new, and it was very spacious for the price.
• Still being remodeled so some parts still looked dingy and old as far as exterior. Also has a lounge/bar attached and they took all our parking spaces.

“Great for travelers! Straight shot down Abercorn to the Historic District (less than 15 minutes!) and the rooms are clean, new furniture, comfy bed, and even includes a desk and easy chair in the room. Breakfast in their restaurant was ok. Only a limited selection of hot bar items and no muffins or bagels, just bread. I felt perfectly safe, and there were tons of family and business travelers staying there, did not see any bad element hanging around or anything. The Marriott and LaQuinta were right down the street but for like twice the price, so go with this one if you can. Also there was a Fresh Market and Kroger within walking distance.”

• It was very clean, the room was nice and the hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly.
• The water kept changing temperature and the walls were a little thin, but overall, it was not a major problem.

“The Holiday Inn Midtown was convenient to many parts of Savannah and located in a good part of the city. The room was very nice and so clean - looked recently updated. The hotel lobby was also nicely decorated. The best part of the stay was the staff, who were all very friendly and helpful during our entire stay. The only complaints I might have was that it was hard to get a consistent temperature in the shower and the walls were kind of thin, but neither was a major issue for us. There were several dogs staying in the hotel with us, but the only time we heard them was during the day when we walked out to our car. Overall, I would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend it to others.”
