“Although it looks like it would be convenient to Downtown Savannah it is not. It is off the beaten path, near nothing and hard to find. It is in an industrial area with screeching freight trains passing next door. Worst however is cleanliness. My wife and I finally had to change rooms because the smell was so bad. Something I would never do unless absolutely necessary. Also noteworthy was the extra $100.00 charge they tacked onto my bill. I was told at check in they were adding it to cover any incidental charges I might incur during my stay. The reality was it was a security deposit which I had to wait several days before I received a credit for the charge on my credit card. A very tacky and deceptive way to conduct business. Except for the large flat panel TV, it was a rather disappointing experience.”

“Bring a Renuzit air freshener and some spray because the non-smoking room we had smelled awful; like someone who just smoked a whole carton. Also beware that this is a pet friendly hotel, which means you will hear barking and meowing all night. This is no fun with a 10-month-old baby trying to sleep. Loud animals aren't supposed to be allowed, but a couple nights I thought we were staying in an SPCA. Somewhat convenient location, but very busy street.”

“Hotel was much overpriced and not at all capable of being called a suite. I've had a better cheap motel stay than this.”

“The carpet in the hallways was filthy. The furniture in the lobby was dirty and worn. There was blood or some other stains on the wall in the hotel room near the beds. The elevator was dirty. I won't be back.”

“I would recommend this hotel to others as the staff was friendly and accommodating and the room was very comfortable. The continental breakfast was better than most other hotels I have stayed in.”

“Stairways in hallway were dirty. Bed blanket was old and dirty, linens need replacing. Hotel has potential but needs renovating. Had a new bathtub. Had nothing to make footing stable and was very slippery. I took a bad fall, the shower curtain and rod fell, I reported this to the desk clerk and on an email survey from the manager and never got a response. I had a minor back injury but could have been serious yet never heard from the staff.”

“This hotel was nasty from beginning to end. The staff had horrible attitudes and did not want to allow me into my room when it stated I could check in at noon. Once I got into the room, it smelled of a "cover-up" odor and the linens and floor were dirty. The 2 best things about this hotel was the location and the ease of checking out.”

“Not bad if you can find an alternate way to get there from i-95, but for conveniences sake Iżd stay at another hotel near an expressway or closer to the historic district.”

“Clean hotel with friendly staff. Currently going through exterior renovations/remodeling (changed from a bayonet inn to laquata inn). Exceeded my expectations for cleanliness and location. I would definitely stay again (especially for the price we paid! Forty George Washington!).”

“The hotel promotes a nice breakfast but the "hot" part was not available any of the three days I was there. The staff commented that she had a run on the food earlier. Now, there was one hour to one and one half hours left in the serving time each time I ate. They should have food to last long enough as their serving time. If I missed once that would have been ok, but three times in a row, no. Not when there was plenty of time left to get more hot stuff ready. I and my guest were disappointed. They should have food prepared for a fully occupied hotel.”

“It is a VERY basic hotel. It was clean, but every day we got different number of towels ranging from 1 to 3, and there were 4 of us staying in the room. It was annoying to ask for more towels every day. Staff was helpful. The hotel was not expensive, so it is good for somebody who needs more than one room (like us) and wants to save money on lodging.”

“LaQuinta just purchased this property from Baymont and the hotel still needs to be upgraded to a bit better amenities. Pretty bare bones hotel room. Beds, Shower, Coffee pot, toilet and sink. The room we had needed some minor repairs to features such as the TV remote and the water pressure increased for the shower massager to work.”

“Clean & quiet - served the purpose of a 1 night stay for 3 adults - nothing special. I did like the bathroom set-up. The vanity was outside the bathroom and was bigger than most hotels.”
