• Breakfast and location.
• Odor, toilet did not flush, not that clean and charged pet fee.

“I really want to like this hotel. It is convenient to the route we need to travel. Last visit went very well, 6 months ago. It seems to have been run down a bit. The room wasn't as clean as last time and the toilet was broken in the first room. We had to move to another room. It's AC did not work well and didn't smell clean, either. On the good side, the breakfast is pretty nice. Another note is that they charge a pet fee.”

• Very helpful front desk folks.
• Swim pool/Jacuzzi was defunct.

“This motel was clean and well-furnished with free internet in each room and a computer/printer available in the lobby. The free breakfast and facility were well run and satisfying. Staff members were superb.”

• Very great and friendly staff.
• Problems with adding an extra day at hotel.

“I really had a great time at this hotel and when I had decided to stay an extra day at the same rate the hotel said it wouldn't be a problem. When I had come back from shopping in the area, I couldn't get into my room because the staff didn't communicate the room transfer. Otherwise it was a great stay, when I could get in the room.”

• One of three of the staff members seems very friendly, the other two were eh, okay, but somewhat less swayed to help.
• I accidentally left an important item in the room.

• Extremely courteous staff.
• I was not disappointed by anything at this hotel.

“I had to travel unexpectedly for a family funeral. When I arrived at the hotel, I was treated no differently and the staff went out of their way to ensure a hassle-free and pleasant stay. Several other family members also stayed upon my recommendation.”

• Elevator was very slow.

“The beds were great. I woke up only one time. It was very quite and easy to relax. I would recommend this hotel for business travelers.”

“From talking to the desk clerk, I confirmed my suspicion that this hotel was something else before it became a Fairfield. This is a much nicer hotel than the typical Fairfield and I would be happy to stay there again.”

• The covers on the bed were tattered.

“The Fairfield Inn Beckley is one of the few choices for better lodging in the city. The staff has always been friendly each time I've stayed there and the free breakfast is good. I'll stay there again.”

• Clean white cotton bedding, comfortable beds, easy location near restaurants and interstate.
• Unable to get a king room.

“This was a good value for the $. I was happy, even though we had to settle for a double room after buying because there was no king available. The Marriott family hotels are all non smoking which I think is great, and they use cotton duvet's instead of synthetic bedspreads, which seems much cleaner. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. Bathroom was quite small, but internet was working and overall everything was just fine.”

• The staff were over the top friendly and helpful very nice experience.
• Non smoking facility would be nice.

“Hotel staff were just super helpful and friendly. Accomodations were exactly as I would expect from a Marriot chain hotel. As stated above the only complaint about this experience is that we ended up with a non smoking facility. All other hotels in the area have smoking rooms. However we had been in the car for several hours so standing outside was not bad since the weather was good.”

• Amenities are only seasonal, would have liked to use hot tub.

“Very clean located directly off 77 travel south to FLA - nice clean, safe pleasant rest. With a wonderful Breakfast. I travel with my three young daughter who just loved making Belg Waffles before their long ride to FLA.”
