• Location from the I-95 and nearby food and shopping.
• Filthy conditions.

“We were greatly disappointed. At first look our room was not that clean. We found spider webs in the bathroom and a broken showerhead. Looking on the far side of the bed we saw garbage still there. The oversized chair was a nice touch but proved to us that this hotel cares more about money than cleanliness. To confirm our thoughts we did a test. We took out a twenty dollar bill and after putting on today's date and signing it we placed it under the main cushion. Two weeks later we arrived and had already made sure we could have the same room again. First thing we did was look under the chair cushion. Lo and behold the twenty dollar bill, and the dirt, was still there. Two weeks later! We went back to the lobby and asked for another room. We told the front desk what we found and she seemed little concerned. We tried the hot tub again just like two weeks ago. It was not that clean last time and this time it was worse. The back walls of the Jacuzzi had black stuff and the overflow grate around the tub still had hair and dirt that we saw two weeks ago. This trip we had a four night stay at this hotel. We checked out later that night and went to a much cleaner and ironically less expensive hotel which had more amenities. Would we go here again? Not even if they paid us!”

• It was clean and relatively modern; also free Wi-Fi in room was nice.
• The pillows were worn out and the maid service didn't change the sheets.

“Overall good, but not conveniently located; count on an hour one way into downtown if there's traffic.”

• The computer center was free and easy to use.
• I can't think of anything I didn't like!

“The hotel was very clean and well kept. Modern appointments and good staff. Close to freeway and easy free parking. Several restaurants close by. Outside appearance was pleasing.”

• It was convenient.
• Didn't seem up to the level of other Wingate Inns, but that may be due to age.

• The carpet in the hallway and the room were fealty, Unfriendly staff. Over priced.

• Beds are too hard.

• Room was very spacious and well appointed.
• No weights in fitness center. Smell outside elevator.

“Overall it was a very pleasant stay. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is a little distant from historic savannah and during high traffic times this was a problem.”

• Large room with good amenities.
• Bed pillows were awful, housekeeping never answered the phone.

“Hotel stay was fine. Tried calling housing keeping multiple times to get extra pillows, we could only leave message. Called front desk twice before pillows came. Breakfast buffet was good. The overall stay was more than satisfactory.”

• The staff, food, hotel cleanliness.
• We had to request housekeeping to clean the room about 5 times.

“The hotel was nice, the employees very friendly and knowledgeable about local activities. I will definitely stay here again.”

• Clean, comfortable, large rooms and friendly and efficient staff.
• The carpeting in the halls needed a good cleaning or replaced.

“We had a great stay, we spent new years weekend in savannah. I expected partying going on, but there was none, or they were real quiet. The breakfast bar was pretty good. The rooms were clean and big. The only thing see that they could really improve on was the carpeting in the halls, it needed a good scrubbing or replaced.”

• It was one of the better places we stayed, new and pretty and nice big room.
• Some distance from downtown Savannah but several ways to go.

“It was a great price and made it worth driving a little distance to visit downtown Savannah.”

• Poor parking lot layout. .Ongoing construction in hotel. AC did not operate.

“The hotel was under construction with exposed pipes, electrical and work lights throughout the hallways. The rooms were ready for the remodel. Age was evident on walls, carpet and bathroom tile.”
