  • Location.
  • Everything was a disappointment especially in Ramadas name.

“This was a horrible experience. The lights did not work, we had to move the lamps around the room to find a working outlet. We have small, well trained dogies, so we paid extra to have them with us. I would think that extra money would be to accommodate extra cleaning. The nasty dog smell was so bad that I did not even want my dogs walking on that carpet. The air conditioner quit in the middle of the night, but, like the front desk said, you are only here for one night. Next time we will book a public bathroom to stay in.”

  • Great location and price, good room and service for the price.
  • Needs to add another elevator, more parking and ice machines on each floor.

“The rooms are not dirty and the pool is great. It is not noisy or crowded, lots of great restaurants within walking distance just have to take a chance on them. The Rain tree restaurant it is awesome. Close to all the attractions even has a trolley that picks you up at the front entrance. Restaurant is great when you don't want to go out and look for a restaurant and just wanna stay in for a night. Another elevator on the opposite end would be nice and ice machines on each floor rather than only next to the lobby. We would definitely stay here again.”

“Lobby was fairly clean but the rooms were old and dirty. We could not walk on the carpet without getting dirty feet. Diner-type restaurant did provide very friendly, helpful staff. Cleaning lady was always friendly and courteous.”

  • Close to historic downtown.
  • A
    little dated.

“Your basic economy hotel. Clean. Perfect for the weekend visitor not planning on being in room much anyway.”

“St. Augustine is a loud car city, oddly enough. Most of the hotels have windows that let sound in, and this one is no different. But again, great and nice staff.”

  • It's location.
  • The rooms were not as clean as they could be and the hotel was next to a very noisy bar!

“At first I thought the hotel was great and then night came. There is a bar across the street and it was
extremely loud and had an outdoor area making it even worse. I finally did get to sleep, however when I woke up I had bites on the inside of my right lower arm. After having it looked at I found out they were bedbug bites! I was so disappointed this was how my vacation had to start out by having to travel Florida with bright red bedbug bites all over my arm.”

  • Great room and great location.
  • Not meant for someone who despises walking to St. George Street.

“My boyfriend and I just went for a weekend away and barely spent anytime in that room. Room was very clean. The staff was very friendly and even let us leaves our car there the day we checked out so we could do more sight seeing so we wouldn't have to pay for parking. I'd recommend this to someone who wouldn't mind a little walking.”

  • Convenient to historic downtown.
  • Room was shabby, rather smelly and
    really needs serious updating.

“While convenient to downtown attractions, this hotel is certainly not up to Ramada standards. Shabby room, so so bed, smelly water, and totally unattractive building. Really needs updating.”

  • I liked where the hotel was at. There was plenty of parking.
  • The beds were horrible and the bathroom needed to be updated.

“The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. However the beds were extremely uncomfortable. I am one who loves to take baths, but there was no way I was going to take a bath in the bathtub! Not that is wasn't clean. But they had the no slip strips on the floor of the tub and they looked pretty ruff. The tub was white and the stripes were a dingy grayish yellow. The hotel was less than a mile from old town. And it was right across the street from a trolley stop. It was fine for one night, but I wouldn't have wanted to stay if it had been a week.”

  • Staff was feriendly and helpful.
  • Room felt older.

“Good location, staff was helpful and friendly, restaurant below average in ambiance and very blue-collar.”

  • The location was decent.
  • Dingy, uncontrolled clients, no security.

“There is no security at this hotel, teenagers and children roamed around the hotel making noise, shouting and were unruly until 2am when the hotel owner finally called the police. The bathtub was filthy; the rooms were old and unkempt. I would definitely never stay there again.”

  • Location.
  • Service.

“The staff was rude during our check in and during the stay. Bathroom tub was not in standard working condition. The hotel is also quite out dated.”

  • Friendly staff and comfortable beds.
  • The bedspreads were not updated. I would have preferred a duvet.

“The hotel was clean and comfortable and in a good location. It was walking distance for anyone to at least one attraction across the street. The staff was friendly. The toiletries could have been a little better, but overall it was a nice hotel.”

  • Office personnel were very friendly.
  • Stale smell in the room and the rugs should be shampooed occasionally.

“The bathroom should have an exhaust to take out the stale smell and heat. I had requested a king bed and they tried to put us in a room with double beds which had a foul odor and to see the TV. You would have to sit on one bed. So I had them change our room to the king bed.”

  • The staff was very friendly, facilities and pool extremely comfortable.
  • Too many kids in hot tub constantly.

“Overall I would stay at this hotel again. The pool area is a bit crowded during the day. Great for families - romance probably not.”

  • Everything.

“This hotel was not anything more than 0 stars. The rooms were dirty, there were roaches and the staff did not speak a lick of English. My shower curtain was stained and the tub was nasty! I walked in and the bed was not made. Never again I will come here!”

  • Nothing.
  • Sheets stunk, toilet wouldnt flush, and lights wouldnt work.

“You need to take this hotel off your 3 star list. Let's just put it this way. I stayed at the Hyatt the night before I arrived here and it was rated the same. I wouldn't even put my feet on the floor without shoes. I found a roach in my bag when I got home and that is the last place I was. I would like some kind of compensation. We stayed there 3 nights and I was miserable.”
