“Check-in was cordial and easy. Dinner was great in bar area because of large re-union going on in larger dining area. Room was very comfortable. The $7 charge for parking was the only negative. Canton is a great and welcoming city.”

“Very clean and comfortable. The carpet was a little worn. The hotel has a little age on it, but overall experience was very good!”

“I really like this hotel. It is a former Marriott and definitely has a Marriott feel about it. The beds are so comfortable, rooms were nice and pool and hot tub were great. At the very least, I'd think it to be a 2.5. It is great for people traveling with kids and solo travelers. And, the staff is always friendly.”

“I only mentioned one of these to the desk, but room door lock very old - hard to get green light to open door - took many tries. This mentioned to desk. Desk light bulb went out, but I forgot to tell them. Carpeting loose on floor near first bed. Shower very hard & no control to soften the rate of prickly water hardness. TV up & down channels only go down, not up. On the good side the Pro Football HOF was gearing up here & I was still treated very well.”

“The McKinley Grand has decent beds and amenities and lovely reception spaces. The bar and restaurant are o.k. at best. There is a business center, but no Wi-Fi and parking is inconvenient. Downtown Canton is often deserted at night. Furniture and carpeting are worn, one understands why it is no longer a Hilton or Marriott.”

“Hotel was wonderful for the price. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the soft, comfortable bed. The hotel is beautiful. The parking was $7.00 extra and across the street so that was an inconvenience. The girl that checked us in and out wasn't friendly and we had to ask her for the access card to our room and directions. She offered little help. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.”

“Because this hotel has a history with President McKinley, and because it is located in the renovated Downtown area, travelers will enjoy staying there for a night.”

“The hotel has seen better days. The rooms were small by American standards and needed some updating. There were water stains on the carpets and ceilings in several places in the room as well as in the hallways. We were placed in what appeared to be a handicap accessible room (though we did not request it) yet several features of the room were anything but handicap accessible, such as the "closet" area which was almost entirely blocked off by the nightstand.”

“Beautiful lobby for a old hotel. Stayed for 3 days. Rug in room was very dirty with lots of water stains. Remote control didn't work right, hair dryer didn't work & the room was never made up on the third day. Upon checkout, I asked for a receipt and they refused. Also parking costs $7.00 per day for across the street. I was glad I didn't have much luggage. Great food & service in restaurant. Sorry to say not much business.”

“This hotel had a nice decor but needed to be remodeled on many floors. The room rugs were old and the rooms somewhat musty.”

“The centrally located hotel has been allowed to run down some. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful and changed out the down and feather comforter and pillow quite cheerfully.”

“Room was clean and comfortable. My main requirements when traveling. I wish the management would post signs to remind folks to be considerate of others by keeping voices low so as not to disturb people who may be sleeping.”

“We were very impressed at the lovely European quality of the linens as well as the newness of the rooms. Our beds were quite comfortable. The atmosphere of the hotel is rather grand, the pool is gorgeous, and the price was amazing.”
