“Exposed wires handing from the ceiling in hallways was a major concern. The staff was not friendly, and lied to us about how much of their renovations were finished. Valet was a joke, no main entrance, just a plywood walkway down a dark path no exterior lighting, unsafe conditions. No restaurant or pool, when we called they were finished, when we got there they were nowhere near. Just a horrible place to stay all around, not worth the prices they were charging, but it was Daytona weekend, and their horrible hotel conditions plus the price they charged wasn't worth the stay. The room itself was very nice, except the shower leaked over the entire bathroom floor every time it was used. I would vote no stars if it was an option. This hotel is the bane of Atlantic Beach.”

“The hotel is under construction and we should have been notified of this. The room was nicely done but not really ready for occupancy. The refrigerator was not plugged in, outlets not working, coffee maker parts mismatched, construction dust everywhere. Very loud vacuuming at 8:30AM outside the door.”

“Had to park down the street. No public areas, i.e. pool, lobby, restaurant, bar, etc. The only thing renovated was the rooms which were lovely. However, getting in and out was a mess and the elevators stopped and we had to haul luggage down 9 floors at checkout! I would stay here only after renovation complete and would not have stayed here if I had known the situation.”

“The hotel is undergoing remodeling which when complete will make at least a 4 star rating. The room was beautiful and the shower was fantastic with dual heads and ceramic tile. Our room was oceanfront with a balcony. The location is walking distance from many restaurants and shops and hopping night life. We will definitely stay there again.”

“The hotel is undergoing major renovations and being converted to a 5 star facility. It is located right on the beach and has many restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. If the new rooms are any indication of how the rest of the place is going to look then this place is a winner. With the construction and such it is a little difficult to find the parking and entrance but don't let that stop you from staying here. The staff and the rooms are fantastic!”

“Overall trip was very disappointing, I was not notified of any construction, and otherwise I would have not selected this hotel. The staff, all two of them, was very friendly.”

“The worker in this Hotel started at 7 am to work with loud machines, so we couldn't sleep very well. The whole building is in reconstruction. But I didn't know that. The Park space was very dark und they were no security service it wasn't safely. The lobby and the enter from the hotel is a mess and a building site place. Also no internet access like they told us.”

“I refuse to ever stay at this place again. The hotel was under construction and I was not notified until I arrived. Upon arriving I noticed everyone had on hard hats. None were provided to use. There was no eatery in the hotel or bar like advertised. I went down to the make shift lobby to ask about internet access and over heard the fire marshal tell them no one else can check in. Makes you feel safe when the only rooms open are on the eighth floor. Since there was no other, there was no hot water. I was told to run the water for about an hour before getting in. I asked if they would be willing to book me a room elsewhere, but that was going to double my travel expenses. Overall, I don't care if this is the nicest hotel in Jacksonville, I will never stay there again. Stay away until at least next year.”

“Hotel was under construction. Only had a few rooms available. Elevator did not work, had to carry luggage up stairs, makeshift lobby, work begin at 7:00 - 9:00. Rooms were clean though.”

“The room itself was great. However, the hotel is almost completely demolished as they are gutting all common spaces and expanding the hotel. I suspect they are violating several state and OSHA laws by being open.”

“This place is a complete construction site and unfit for occupants. The construction starts at 7:00 am and there is non stop loud noise all day. Upon arrival the TV and toilet didn't work properly and then on the morning of my departure the elevator was not working and I had to climb 7 flights of stairs to get back to my room. I feel the owners of this hotel are stealing from people buy taking money to stay there.”

“The Hotel was under total renovation. We checked into a side door which was filled with dust and construction materials. The power kept going in and out, no room service. Construction Noises. The whole place was a construction zone - literally! Outside of the room was a nightmare. The place was no where ready for any kind of occupancy.”

“Hotel is still under construction. Not a very safe place. Hotel rooms are updated and nice. Hotel should not be open until construction is complete. Very nice area around the hotel!”

“Hotel was in great location, but unfit to stay in while under complete renovations including hanging ceiling tile, water dripping from the ceiling, mildew smell through out, and too much else to mention. Staff was pleasant.”

“Well we drove around for 2 hours after calling them for directions, the neglected to tell us to turn right on a small street. So, we ended up driving all around Jacksonville. When we did find the sea turtle inn, we had to pay an additional 10.70 to park in the parking lot.”

“Getting better? This hotel is under renovation, and I stayed two nights in an unrenovated room on the 8th (top) floor. The room had a great south-facing view of the coast and surrounding beach town. Everything was comfortable and relatively clean, considering that the room had some age to it. I bet it will look really great after renovations are complete. I would stay again in the same room or a renovated room.”

“This was by far the worst hotel experience we have ever had with any provider. The power went off in the room for hours, the TV went out, the hot water took several minutes to come on, the corridors were filthy with construction dust.”

“The hotel could have been so much nicer. The room was supposed to be non-smoking, but it had obviously been smoking and the tried to cover it up with air freshener. The carpet was filthy, the air conditioner to loud and ineffective. Water stains on the ceiling and some of the wall paper was coming off the wall. I was supposed to have an oceanfront view/sunrise view, I had neither. I had a side-ways view of the ocean/sunrise--my view was of the adjoining restaurant roof. There was only a refrigerator, no microwave and when I returned that evening I found the maid had removed the two soft drinks I had left in the fridge. I did not enjoy my stay and I will never return and I will tell everyone I know never to stay there.”

“The hotel made no mention until we had arrived that the pool was closed due to overhead work being done. Note that this is a beach hotel, and swimming during the late summer or early fall is pretty much an "assumed" part of the stay. The hotel registered our 3 rooms (for several days) at $70/day more each than the Internet agreed rate, and had to change the rate when I discovered their room rate on the sheet handed to me after checking in. Oops. A breakfast was charged to my room on the morning of our arrival, our arrival being 6 hours later that day. Another oops. Sloppy. Renovations were needed long ago. Hammer drills provided background noise during the day. I was not impressed by the hotel.”
