• Very close to Universal Studios.
• Definitely need a rental car.

“Came to the hotel with my teenagers for a trip to Universal and some Turkey Day fun at my relatives. Kids loved the resort, it has a huge pool that even though it was cold in Orlando. They still enjoyed the pool since it was heated. There is an arcade and wireless also so my oldest enjoyed that as well. Area was a little run down, but we had a rental car so it wasn't a big deal to drive through it. There is a jail some ways down the road but unless your looking for it, there really isn't any reason to go down the road for anything. All in all, we would stay here again, it was quiet and very pretty inside the resort. Definitely a good deal for the cheap price we paid. It's so close to Universal almost no traffic.”

• It's decent hotel with good rooms.
• The customer service was poor and there were so many extra charges that were unbelievable.

“The hotel lobby was nice and clean and exceeded my expectations. But when we arrived in the room with our daughter it was dirty. It was a kids club room, my fiance went in there before us and he had to use the towels in the room to clean up he requested disinfectant and cleaning supplies and he cleaned the bathroom, tub, floors and the children's room that was filthy. We later found screws and other things on the floor in the children's room. The power went out in the children's room the next day in our stay so she had no light in the room. We went outside to the pool, the pool was clean, so we went over to the kiddie pool with our daughter, it was filthy and dirty. Housekeeping came in to replace our sheets, but we wanted to them ourselves so they just handed us the towels and new sheets. The staff is all nice its just that its seems like they are lazy!”

• Hot shower.
• It sits next door to a huge correctional facility with lots of barbed wire.

“This hotel looks great from the lobby, however, we had a large hole in one wall of our room. All things in the room looked old and garage sale quality. On the up side, the water in the shower was super hot! However there is only one ice bin for the whole hotel and it is on wheels. Bedding was clean though.”

• It was easy to find, easy to get around in, and met all of our needs for this trip.
• Some of the items in the room needed to be updated, as they were older or even falling apart, in my opinion.

“This hotel was clean and the staff was courteous. The hotel had nice features, a video game room and nice pool area, although I didn't get to use either. Some of the items in the room were needing replacement, in my opinion. For example the lamps were a bit rusted, but they did work. Great hotel though.”

“Hotel needs an overhaul badly! Staff very nice and helpful but ceiling in our room was coming down (they did remove the incidental fee from our bill because of this) and there was a mildew everywhere.”

• The location was convenient to where I needed to be.
• Needs renovation, no fridge in room.

“This hotel would be fine for a traveler who just needed a place to stay for the night. I would not recommend it for families as there is very little room in the rooms, they are not the cleanest place in the world. There is no where to store snacks/beverages. It is a place to sleep, not to vacation”

• The pool.
• There was a $10 fee/day that I did not know about charged to my card.

“There would be an additional $10/day charge for amenities when I still had to pay to utilize the game room, the bar, and other instances in which they said the charge goes towards. I will not be staying in this hotel again.”

• There was one female manager who tried to accommodate me for the misrepresentation of the hotel itself.
• This hotel has many unexpected hidden costs.

“The location is not bad. This is not optional and it is for the use of the pool, hot tub, exercise room and other amenities which I did not use. The rooms do not have a refrigerator in them and if you want one it is an additional $10.00 a day. The size of the refrigerator was like a little box and would not hold a gal of milk. Local phone calls are 75 cents a piece. The vending machines take credit cards only. The air conditioning in the halls and around the elevators was not working properly so it was very warm in these areas. Breakfast is not included. The food that I had there was not good at all. I felt this hotel misrepresented itself with all the extra hidden costs. I also did not appreciate the maid leaving a tip envelope in my room, that is tacky.”

• Staff was very helpful.
• Door locks weren't in very good shape.

“The hotel staff was very pleasant and efficient. The hotel room we were in appeared to have had a break in previously, as the lock plate was slightly bent. Beds were very comfortable. Game room - not such a good value; internet access - very slow! showed some amenities that were no longer available.”

• The first floor rooms were falling apart. We understand the second floor rooms have been renovated.

• Convenient to interstate 4 and to the Universal and Disney Parks, Only minutes away.
• I was surprised that there was a daily resort fee of ten dollars, but it was still affordable.

“Very nicely decorated. Plenty of useful amenities. Seemed secure for our safety. Friendly front desk personnel. The housekeeping staff was very personable as well.”

• The room was clean and comfortable. The kid suite was perfect for children under seven.
• The breakfast was overpriced and the hot food did not taste good.

“The hotel was very clean and comfortable for it's price. The kid suite was perfect for children under seven. The beds would be too small for any over that age. The breakfast was poor quality and expensive. They allow people in the pool after 11pm. So the people in the pool woke me up a couple of times. I would stay there again.”

• The price, location, amenities adorable, kids suite and clean.
• The hotel was older but they made up for it with amenities.

“Friendly staff, clean, provide very reasonable prices on buffets, awesome gift shop, simple but effective work out room, huge game room with air hockey, very festive pool area that includes whirlpool, friendly bar, room service with inexpensive prices and the kids suite is precious. I also liked there was an impressive assortment of toiletries, ironing board, iron, safe, blow dryer, coffee maker, plenty of drawers, full-length mirror and a balcony with table and chairs. I was very pleased and again, precious kids room with bunk and single beds, built in wall system with their own TV and playful walls and light fixture.”

“From the time you walk in until the time you leave, the staff was unfriendly, our check in time was delayed, the TV did not work, you couldn't get a hold of the front desk (always busy) and when you did they weren't helpful. There were no shuttle buses to anywhere, the highlight of the stay was a blue clown who would open the door for you.”

• I really liked the inside of the hotel.
• I didnt really care for the front desk clerks customer service.

“Overall we had a wonderful time with our stay in Orlando. The only true bad thing that scared me a little was the fact that we found the orange county jail within 2 miles of the hotel. Though. We didnt have any prisoner visits.”

• Room needs updated, slight odor in room.

“The rooms need to be updated. It did have a slight odor when I first walked in but never noticed it again. I liked the pool, where I stayed most of the time, and the bar close by. The staff was very friendly and helpful.”
