• The landscaping was great where the hotel was situated.
• Maid would forget the creamer and sometimes the coffee packet.

“It was a nice room with internet access, the morning paper and coffee. The restaurant was handy the the food was fine.”

• Friendly staff, very helpful.
• Room service was only available 5 days per week for 3 hours per day.

“Hotel landscaping was beautiful! Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel food was good, but pricey. A problem arose at checkout but the Operations Manager saw that the problem was fixed. The balcony was a trifle small, and the TV and remote were not in good repair. Very few channels on the TV. Altogether a good experience, much better than the last time I was at a Marriott!”

• The bed was comfortable.
• Surrounding area was un-kept.

“There were kids playing outside and the room was a little dark but overall our stay was comfortable.”

• Clean rooms, comfortable bed.
• No bathtub in room, only shower. Restaurant closed for lunch on weekends.

“Restaurant not open for lunch on Saturday which was inconvenient since I was stuck at the hotel without transportation. No bathtubs, only shower in room. Not on the beach.”

• The free breakfast was excellent, the speed of putting you in your room was excellent, perks ok.
• I happen to be right by an adjoined room with at least three small kids, I heard everything, every scream, I hated the room itself. Too many in one room.

“The only problem I had was the rooms where not leased out to accommodated the traveler, such as me being single adjoined to a family with kid that scream and run up and down the hall most of the night. Was a big turn off, the room service was not being used the night I was there which I was wanting a steak sent to my room. The location of this hotel is terrible. It took me 30 minutes trying to find it and it was right in front of me, with one small sign for the hotel.”

• I wish there was area information available in the lobby.

“The hotel was in a great location away from the hustle and bustle of ordinary vacationers but still convenient to other areas of Jacksonville and the beach. Very clean.”

• Safety grab bar in shower was faulty.

“Comfortable; 10-15 minutes from beach; nice pool & hot tub; office desk wired for Internet and many electrical outlets. Would enjoy staying again. The first floor room staff did a nice job for us.”

• Really comfy beds.
• No complimentary breakfast.

“This hotel was very clean, the bedding was high quality and extremely comfy - it was great. It felt like a 3 star. Plush carpets, nice toiletries, newspaper waiting outside my room in the morning - very nice. I wish there had been a complimentary breakfast buffet - this is the only reason I would still prefer to stay at the Hampton Inn - but other than that it was perfect.”

• I asked for a free upgrade and I got it, nice & quiet!
• Staff never made eye contact-were unfriendly and rude.

“They need to have free breakfast. It was close to my seminar @ Mayo Clinic & was fine for 2 nights but we stayed 3 for a mini vacation. Nice & quiet was the best thing.”

• The room and beds where nice and comfortable.
• The staff was snappy and rude with there tone.

“Over all, the hotel could be a nice stay. I enjoyed the room overall however the staff was what made me question if I would ever want to go back and stay with them. I travel a lot to Jacksonville and will not book next time with them. The grounds are also beautiful.”

• Didn't include breakfast, medicinal atmosphere.

“Was shocked to see wheelchairs, shower chairs medicinal smell in hallway - hotel was on the grounds of Mayo Clinic and was not conducive to "beach" location I requested. Not advisable for vacationing travelers.”

• Modern and clean, visually pleasing, safe, tucked away yet close to town.
• Cleaning lady came in twice unannounced and the coffee tasted horrible.

“I would definitely go back to the hotel. It is very clean and safe with may nearby conveniences. I was able to check-in early which made me very happy. They also have a store if you are hungry or thirsty in the night.”

• Springs in mattress were broken resulting in a large depression in the middle of the bed. Could not change us.

• Beautiful location, generally clean, great price.
• Vanity area not clean, was in connecting room, could hear everything in room next door.

“The hotel in general was very nice. The grounds were beautiful. The room was clean other than the vanity area. Whoever stayed there before shaved and the hair was everywhere. We were put in a connecting room and could hear everything going on in the room beside us - including loud snoring all night. The breakfast buffet was great - great staff as well.”
