• It is in walking distance of a Publix, Starbucks, Wachovia, dry cleaners, and only a short drive to the beach.
• There is not an obvious entrance once on Hodges.

“The breakfast area was nice; however, there were not enough seats for everyone. We went on a short excursion trying to locate it at first. It would also be nice if a notice regarding pool closings, etc could be posted with dates and time durations, since obviously that might help families decide whether or not to stay. All in all, it was a nice, clean, and comfortable stay and we will most likely refer it to friends, stay there the next time we visit the area.”

• Loved the breakfast. Asked an important favor and got it. Sophisticated staff not red necks.
• Sorry. It was perfect including the microwave, fridge and computer room free internet. You need a kennel here as many old people are staying and hate to.

“Going to the Mayo clinic for two days was stressful enough so when my oxygen dependant roommate and I arrived for a visit we felt like we were on a vacation. Why? We entered a beautiful lobby where you could see at a glance the lobby, dining and swimming pool. The staff was very friendly, not intrusive. A wheel chair was supplied immediately. I would not have minded tipping the bellboy but secretly pleased that I could help myself and save the tip. I did tip the maid however. I liked the chairs up front which gave you a chance to speak to the other guest.”

• It's location was convenient for my purpose.
• I had to pay for two nights even though I only stayed one.

“It was neat, convenient, and its staff was very courteous. I will recommend it to my friends. The continental breakfast was excellent.”

“The staff was very friendly and informative. They brought up extra pillows and blankets for my children. The view was beautiful and the room was very comfortable. I will definitely use this facility again in the future.”

• It was in a safe and newer location near Jacksonville Beach. Good restaurants along Beach Blvd.
• Unfortunately, it is not directly on the beach. But close enough.

“It is a family friendly place in a safe location. It is 10 minutes from the Atlantic Beaches. There are brand new shopping centers close by and also nice, upscale residential subdivisions. It was convenient to the beaches. We enjoyed the continental breakfast and the indoor and outdoor pool as well as the hot tub. The kids love the pool the best, of course.”

• Excellent bed and room.
• Lack of seating at breakfast due to over capacity.

“Very nice large room with comfortable bed, we loved the duvet (can we buy one?) The hotel was full so when it came to breakfast there was not enough seating for all the guests, which became a major problem. The reception staff was very helpful, especially on giving time saving directions to our new destination.”

• It was clean and had a good breakfast.
• Located in a shopping center.

“Hotel was clean, the front desk personnel were efficient in getting us checked in. Room was clean. A little noisy because of small children running around. Breakfast was one of the better free ones I have seen. Did not like having to go through a shopping center parking lot to get to the hotel.”

• Clean, up to date, quiet (most of the time, except weekends).
• Weekends are a zoo with sports teams and teenagers gone wild.

“Great place to stay during the week as it is mostly quiet and clean. On the weekends, stay away. They book sports teams and teenage groups and let them raise hell way after midnight. You would think they would throw them out after chasing them around the hotel all night. .”

• Good clean hotel, friendly staff, and a nice double bed room.
• The location was not as close to the beach as I thought it would be. I asked for Jacksonville Beach City but the hotel was really in Jacksonville City.

“This hotel was clean and had a friendly staff. The indoor/outdoor pool was a great place for the kids to play in. The rooms were nice and allowed good space to move around and be comfortable.”

• Hotel was clean, in expensive, and had breakfast.
• Getting to the location was difficult. The entrance is hidden between a shopping center.

“The hotel was clean, had a great price, and included breakfast. The location, while nice, was a bit hard to find, especially at night. The main entrance is located between a shopping center. Other than that, it's a great hotel to stay at if you're planning on being in the Jacksonville Southside and beaches area.”

• The front desk staff were extremely helpful and gave great directions.

“The hotel was great and had an extremely friendly staff. The only complaint comes from Map Quest; they got the directions wrong. But, called the hotel and they easily got me on the right path. Would stay again.”

• Could not open the window for fresh air.

“We had a clean and comfortable room and the hotel is in a quiet and safe area. The breakfast was very good with a nice variety of items. The breakfast area overlooks the outdoors and features a TV with the AM news. The desk clerks were very helpful and friendly.”
