• Updated & new, open kitchen cathedral ceilings etc.
• Kind of hard to find, They dont give you good directions and I checked in after hours and called them and no one answered.

“They need to give directions and after hrs check in info on their answer machine if they arent going to answer the phone if you call after 5pm.”

• The room had 2 bedrooms.
• Had to pay a $35 cleaning fee.

“No dining within 25 minutes of the place. Could not park trailer in driveway, association wont allow. Lots of bugs everywhere, was very annoying. This would be great for families but not a couple.”

• It was spacious and very nice.
• It was very hard to find.

“This was a very nice hotel. We traveled with 5 kids and had plenty of room. The lake was very pretty. The only bad thing was location. It is very tricky to get to.”

• The staff was very accommodating and the location served our purpose well.
• No restaurants or convenience stores near the resort.

“We plan on returning to this resort. I would recommend the accommodations to friends and family. I want the opportunity to return to the resort for rest and relaxation as that was not the purpose for our trip.”

• Comfortable, comforts of home, great rates.
• 15 minutes from any restaurant or market.

“Staying at Lake Marion was a pleasant experience for us. We had come for a wedding (not a theme park trip) in Winter Haven. The 3 BR villas were perfect for our needs. I loved the solitude while only being a short distance from our friends. The whole place was well equipped and the layout utilized every space. The resort is a good distance from anywhere (maybe 15 minutes), but you also get a great rate. If you ask me, the extra distance to drive is well worth the comfort you enjoy as opposed to a hotel room where you don't have a comfortable chair to sit in. You can regroup with a spacious place to stay, wash clothes if needed and have a few grocery products for yourselves.”

• Nice big 3 bedroom apartment at a reasonable rate.
• Not enough towels or toilet paper. Very hard to find. No one from the office stays on the premises.

“The rooms are very nice and big. Nicely furnished, too. I've stayed in a 2 bedroom before and this time was in a 3 bedroom. It's well worth the price but is very hard to find.”

• Everything was there that you needed, even an umbrella. Great.
• Can't say pretty much all good.

“Great place to stay. Thinking of going back with my kids and some of their friends to just hang out at the resort.”

• Everything.

“when we got there our paperwork was there but we had no key, they decided to put us up in the emergency room that was nice, but had no water. after about 45 minutes they arrived with the key for the original room. on our application we stated that we were only staying one night and that our total cost was $102. on the morning we checked out we were told that we had to pay a $40 cleaning fee because we only stayed one night,,, none of which was mentioned when we booked the room... so anyone who is thinking about renting a lake Marion resort villa, I strongly advise them to think about alternative accommodation.”

• Very nice place to stay for the price.
• Did not know about the $35.00 cleaning fee for staying less than 3 nights.

“This was a 2 bedroom villa with kitchen, living room and 2 bathrooms. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable. For the price of a standard hotel room, we had very comfortable stay.”
