“We stayed for an overnight trip on our way to Disney. It was by far the best hotel that we stayed in on this vacation. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were spacious. Breakfast was an all you can eat buffet with lots of choices.”

“This hotel is located at a premier golf course and the views from the room are spectacular. The hotel and rooms are upgraded, with beautiful modern decorations and 42" LCD televisions. Internet access is not included in the room as you have to pay $12 to use.”

“This is a wonderful hotel with atrium and amenities especially for the golfer. The rooms are exquisitely appointed and very comfortable. We loved it!”

“Nice hotel, especially if traveling with pack of kids or golfers. First room was very bad: across from busy elevator; 1 floor above bar which was noisy; no view (we were on 2nd floor with flat roof & huge noisy AC units outside of window which they tried to cover with silk plants outside window); was an adjoining room and people next door were very loud in the am - we could hear them as if they were in same room; large gaps under all room doors without any weatherstrip, etc caused all hall noise to come right in room. Our new room on 8th floor was much better. We had to talk to the nice girls on day shift to move, they were awesome. Huge guy on nights of no help whatsoever and definitely not representing the hotel in a positive way. The brunch looked nice but kids were running wild without any type of parental supervision.”

“Although it is a Golf resort, it is a beautiful hotel for all to enjoy. The room was equipped with a refrigerator, bar sink, and coffee maker. Room service is available 24 hours. The resort is impressive in appearance all the way around, especially the atrium of the hotel. Our room was spotless clean with a very nice balcony.”

“The Renaissance at Golf Village is a destination hotel/resort that should be enjoyed for several days. They have so much to offer it cannot be enjoyed in a simple overnight stay. Although 10 miles North of St. Augustine, FL it provides easy access to the historic city, while providing a secluded get-away when you need it. The room decor and finishings are very up-scale yet simple, and made us feel pampered.”

“We will mostly likely stay here for our next visit to St. Augustine. The staff was friendly and it was nice to see smiles on the ladies at the front desk. It is a bit far from the historic district of St. Augustine but that didn’t really matter, it was nice to have a non-touristy escape.

“The hotel looked nice, but the people were rude, and the room was not cleaned before we went in. Needless to say, we would not be staying there again.”

“The hotel was fine and the rooms were clean and newly renovated. The mini-fridge was quite handy. I would consider a `middle of the road' golf resort. If you are into golf, it would be a good choice. Most of the store fronts around the resort were vacant, but there is a Public grocery store and strip mall at the entrance (1.5 miles) from the hotel. The location is convenient to multiple beaches and the beach club that they have a relationship with is nice. The restaurant at the beach club was excellent. The kids loved the pool at the beach club, and the locker room and showers were appreciated.”

“The location was good as it was a short drive to Historic St. Augustine. The rooms and lobby were newly renovated and very clean and eye pleasing. The onsite amenities left much to be desired. The pool was very small and crowded.”

“I stayed at this hotel with my wife and two children. This hotel is in a nice location and has new facilities. Beds are comfortable and rooms are what you would expect from a 3-4 star hotel. When I stayed we arrived at 9:30 p.m. it was raining and lightning. There was no valet attending the booth to help us unload and park the car. This was very inconvenient since the self parking was on the other side of the valet parking lot. Room service food was poor quality served cold and brought without standard and requested condiments. There is a nice playground for kids, however, drainage issues have not been worked out (this is essential in Florida). The last issue we had was that raw sewage started seeping up in the sink through the drain. We were not using the sink, tub or toilet at the time it started, so it probably was not our sewage, as a result my wife and I could not brush our teeth before we left. The hotel management sent maintenance to fix it but this was after the check out time (we saw him go in as we were leaving). This is a nice hotel and needs to resolve all the new construction issues and handle service details before I would compare them to past resorts and 3-4 star hotels. Once they have the details of a great hotel under control, it will be a great place to stay.”
