• There was no coffee maker; no shampoo; etc.

“The Econo Lodge is cheap; but I would not stay there again. There was no coffee maker; no refrigerator and no shampoo. The steps to the second floor rooms were slippery and the room itself reeked of cigarette smoke.”

• We had stayed there before. No surprises.
• The sheets were not tight on the mattress.

“This motel is very convenient to Wal-Mart and to other shopping and eating in Marion.”

• Swimming pool was not open.

• The breakfast was below average with limited items.

“Was in a good location just off the main interstate. The staff was all friendly and quite helpful. The breakfast could have offered more items.”

• Room was quiet.
• Front desk staff was abysmally slow.

“This was not a two-star hotel. More like a one-star or at least a one-and-a-half. The front desk staff not rude, but was more concerned with making sure their paperwork was correct than speed. The breakfast buffet was free with my room, but very sparse in a dreary atmosphere. Room was clean, but basic. Only ten rooms with high-speed Internet. Parking was plentiful, but inconvenient to room layout.”

• Location is close to town and close to restaurants and shopping.
• The evening hotel desk clerk was unfriendly and somewhat abrasive and the hotel room bathroom tub needed to be replaced.

“The hotel does feature a nice swimming pool and the location places it near restaurants and shopping but there is a much newer hotel (Comfort Inn) in the next town that I will more than likely stay at the next time I'm in the Marion, Va area.”

• Very clean.
• Parking was tight.

“Close to highway. Easy access. very clean rooms. comfortable bed and pillows. I travel with dogs and the charge was fair and they were very nice about having a pet with me.”
