“ The bathtub kept dripping and wouldn't drain unless you held a lever down, so it slowly kept filling up. The toilet started running around midnight and quickly flooded the bathroom. The maid did not even enter our room. No maid service at all was provided despite the sign on the door, "Maid Service Requested". No clean sheets, no clean towels, the trash was overflowing. We moved to another room, but it was a smoking room and stunk really bad. Some of the lights wouldn't turn on, which was ok because by now it was 1:00 a.m. and I just wanted to sleep, but then other lights would come on and off of their own accord throughout the night waking us up each time. The next morning as I checked out, the lady at the front desk asked what happened to our first room because when the maid opened the door, water flooded out at her. Apparently maintenance had not been notified about the plumbing problem. The stairs in the hotel were rusty. Parts of the hotel had a weird funky rotten egg smell. The parking garage had chunks of concrete missing here and there. The parking garage ramp is so steep that I don't think a car with a small engine could make it up. You almost need a Land Rover. It was like a 45 degree incline, and there was one lane to go up and down, so when you went up, a light came on the higher levels stating that you were using the ramp, so they would know not to turn the blind corners and go down towards you. It was probably a very cool hotel in the mid sixties. ”

“Bring your own pillow, a must. watch out for several streets called Bay before the one that you actually want. Elevator not correctly marked and located in an inconvenient location.”

“Hotel was located close to where I needed to be for my purpose to Jacksonville, with plenty of parking, spacious room, very relaxing bed, and extra-friendly staff. Although I did not require an elevator to access my room, it would be a welcomed convenience for others less mobile or with small children to more readily access rooms on the second and third floors. Only real negative was the stench of cigarette smoke so heavily that breathing normal was somewhat difficult.”

“We had not expected something great for 1-star, but were a bit disappointed with the condition of the room. The hotel looks okay from the outside, but that is about it. We would not stay there again (especially with the kids).”

“Our experience was a good one largely due to the staff. We had business and did not spend a great deal of time in the room except to get ready in the morning and wind down in the evening. It was not plush but it was just what we needed. It was located in the middle of all we needed to due, from the airport to St Augustine.”

“This hotel should be taken off your list of "quality hotels. We were in FL and I understand because of the climate, roaches are a big problem, but this hotel was infested. We saw at least seven roaches during our one night stay. Also, the room was not clean to standard. A layer of dust covered the furniture and a towel was in the bathroom sink when we entered. In addition, the towels were very thin and of a cheap quality. The management was awful. When we arrived at 4:00 in the afternoon, the office was closed! We had to hunt down the security staff to be let into the room. On the day we left, 8:00 the next morning, the office, again, was closed. Another complaint I have is that an enormous amount of trash, not all of it in bags, was piled in common access areas to the rooms.”

“The staff was very disorganized and unhelpful. There were multiple people trying to check in at the same time, and there apparently were no clean rooms by 4:30 pm, so we all ended up waiting approximately one hour while rooms were cleaned. No one received the room that they had reserved Queen bed in non smoking, and one gentleman was hassled because he acknowledged that he had a pet, even though the hotel posted that they were pet friendly.”
