• Friendly staff, clean rooms and nice swimming pool.
• Tight with the towels and shampoo until requested more.

“There was much more to recommend about this hotel than to warn against. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, except for a moldy shower curtain which was promptly replaced. The pool was clean and refreshing, and although there was no lifeguard, staff checked by on a regular basis. The restaurant staffs were very courteous, although the food was the so-so quality I've come to expect from hotel restaurants. There was cable TV and free WiFi internet in the room. The hotel is one block from I-40, so it was extremely convenient for travelers.”

• Easy to locate, staff knew the area and gave great, easy to follow directions.
• Nothing.

• Great helpful staff. Nice outdoor pool.
• The price was a little high for the location. Food wasn't great and over priced.

• It was conveniently located in the town of Morganton and for the money it is what I expected.
• It was just an average hotel. Nothing really bad.

• The rooms were really nice and the hotel staff was very friendly.
• Nothing, it was all great!

“The hotel is really a great place to stay. It has nice rooms and the pool was real nice. The room service was great to have. Really convenient to stores and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone.”

• The hotel was very convenient to restaurants and shopping areas.

“The stay at the hotel was very relaxing and the staff was very courteous and concerned about our stay. One of the better hotels I have stayed in, that is why I try to book it whenever I am in the area.”

• Location and the majority of the amenities were great.
• Internet connectivity was poor (intermittent) was never able to connect for any period of time, had to use the lobby PC.

• Quiet. Well serviced facility. Clean & comfortable.
• 2nd floor location. Would have preferred 1st floor.

“Spent 4 nights consecutive at this location and no loud parties or obnoxious people. Maybe just lucky or maybe it's the clientele this place attracts. Parking always seemed available, though vacancy rate appeared low. Quiet. Clean. All you can ask for the money but do ask for a 1st floor location if you get the chance.”

• Pool, most of the staff, great views, convenient for my needs, overall great experience.
• Bathroom floor not clean, wallpaper peeling, check-.in early and clerk was rude

“Although there were some minor maintenance issues, the experience was great. The pool was clean and had plenty of seats and umbrellas. The room was comfortable and for the most part clean (the bathroom floor was not cleaned behind the door). I enjoyed my stay.”

• Comfort.
• The bed was harder than the floor room smelled of stale cigarettes.

“The cleaning solution smelled funny. The beds were like rocks. The food was very good. The people were friendly. The pool needs a heater. The pool needs to be open to adults after 10pm. They do not appreciate people doing laps at 6 am.”

• The location was convenient to the interstate, easily accessible.
• Noisy children while trying to sleep.

• The restaurant was a complete rip-off.

“Overall, the hotel was great. Room was clean and comfortable and everyone was friendly. The restaurant was a completely different story. They got my meal wrong, didn't offer to replace it. I was able to eat about 3 bites and they still charged me full price. I was outraged!”

• Rooms smelled musty (both of the two we stayed in).

“From the outside we thought it was going to be very nice. Then when we went into the first room. It smelled so musty that we decided to ask for another room. You could see in the ceiling where there had been a leak in the past. When we went back to the desk the receptionist was extremely rude. She put us back in a corner with two queens instead of a King. This room also smelled musty though not as bad as the first one. It had a huge nasty stain on the armchair cushion and a broken luggage rack. We also had problems with the fact that this hotel is apparently frequented by construction crews that like to drink and get loud at night. It didn't end there! The next day we were still in our room when the maid came. We told her to come back later. When we left we told her that we were leaving, and she proceeded to hand us a couple towels to carry back to the room ourselves! I would not recommend this hotel for anyone that is traveling for leisure.”

• Right off the interstate and easy to get to any location.
• No elevator had to carry bags up stairs.

“At the time of our stay there were several electric company service people staying there. With them and a couple of large campers there were still plenty of parking spaces. Great restaurants in town and a good location to stay if you want to pay far less than staying in Ashville, yet close enough to drive there and other events in the area.”
