• Poor beds, room smelled funny.

“Not a great place. Older hotel, no laundry facilities and my room had an odor. I was glad it was only one night.”

• Convenience to places I need to go. Lots of restaurants near by. Close location to a copy center. Staff was friendly. They removed the snow between cars.
• No rail at the rear entrance where there are steps.

• The location and the staff.
• The room and hotel had a mildew smell, bed and bathroom bad.

“I think that this hotel should be rated as a 1-Star; because of the very low grade beds, bathroom facilities were of a 1 star motel not hotel, and the room smell was not fresh but mildew.”

• I still think it was a little pricey.

“The hotel was nice and clean and the staffs were helpful. The location is excellent. There were cheaper hotels in downtown Cleveland that were just as nice.”

• Bed was good for sleeping and the recliner was a comfortable surprise.
• Had to go up a floor for ice.

“The La Quinta was comfortable and cozy. The rooms were clean. I've never stayed in a hotel with a recliner. I was sorry we didn't have more time to spend in the room. I liked the layout with the sink separate from the tub/toilet. The coffee nook was charming. The staff handled everything we asked for. We even got a free Cleveland Plain Dealer every day. I like that better than a USA Today.”

“Hotel located approximately 45 min. from Cleveland; convenient to Chagrin Falls, which is a lovely town to visit; that is why we chose this location. They also had better than average continental breakfast.”

• I appreciated the free wireless and continental breakfast. Independence is a convenient location to Cleveland/Akron.
• The walls and doors were thin, so you could easily hear activity in other rooms and the hallway.

“La Quinta is what you would expect from a two/two and half star hotel. Free wifi and continental breakfast make it appealing for business travelers or those who just need a clean comfortable place to stay that is convenient to the Cleveland/Akron area.”

• A step up for us from Motel 6

“Felt I was "bothering" the "gentleman" at the check-in desk when asking general questions about the hotel (i.e. where is the ice machine). Room was musty and damp. Air conditioner did not work right. Room was not cleaned the final day of stay.”

• The handicap room was not handicap friendly....It was hard to get my scooter in the bathroom and the tub did not have a bench to sit on..
