• It's close to the airport terminal.
• It's run down, has no desks, cheap food court in lobby makes whole place stink.

“It's well past it's time. The owner is milking it and putting nothing back in to it.”

• Tip top shape; washer and dryer in unit.
• There was other check in from other owners. Should be known up front not to go to the fourth floor for check in. Pay for umbrella stand.

“Excellent condominium. Should be more like Marriott with a check of all amenities at the unit. Excellent view. No complaints of noise as in other posts, we went in late April. Temp of water 74 degrees.”

• The Staff were very friendly. Lots of pillows.
• Our room was a long way from the lobby. This part of the hotel carpeting was really old.

“The location was just what I needed. The breakfast was not very good. They could not get us any hot tea. Not a lot of variety. Had to sit on a couch to eat. Not easy to do with toddlers. I was traveling with my 2 year old and my 79 yr old dad. It was so far to the room I wasn't sure he would make it.”

• The staff was friendly - the food in the restaurant was good.
• The room was "well-worn" stained carpet pealing wall-paper.

“The room I stayed in was "well worn." Actually that description fits beginning with the hallway leading to the room. The theme of water stained and thread-bare carpet continued into the room. The room was clean and the bedding was adequate. But the room needed serious remodeling. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was very good. The atmosphere in the restaurant was not as pleasant.”

• Friendly convenient.
• Fried food smell in lobby dark dank carpets.

“This hotel tries hard. The bathrooms are tiny but immaculately clean, even if the rooms seemed a bit clammy, the ventilation/AC is LOUD and the hall carpet looks like it could use some refreshing (the room carpet was fine). BUT the fried food smell in the lobby (from the snack bar just off the front entrance) is VERY unpleasant. But everyone was nice, the food in the restaurant was fine, if not outstanding (scrambled eggs in buffet were tasteless and dry) and it's very convenient to the airport.”

• It was very comfortable, close to the airport, and clean.
• The workout facility could use more equipment.

“I loved the fact that shuttle service was provided 24 hours! Also the front desk was very helpful and accomodating. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the hotel was very clean and nicely decorated.”

• The location and closeness to the airport was awesome.
• The hotel was very old and tired looking. There was a slight mildew smell in the rooms.

“If location matters and you don't mind an outdated room, mile away room, then this hotel is perfect. We would probably not stay there again.”

• It was obviously older, but well kept. Great location.
• The work out room was not kept up (cleaned and supplies refilled). Small repairs were needed in some areas of hotel (doors sticking, etc).

“The location was great. 3 minutes from car rental. I didn't hear planes at all. Pool was great. Well kept, even though it was obviously an older hotel. The price was in line with the hotel. Oftentimes, a lower price means the hotel is scary and dirty. This one was clean, kept up, and had nice amenities. Just older. It was a good stay.”

• Convenience to airport.
• Because of discount, they placed me in a satellite room with no breakfast included.

“Staff was not friendly and could not find my reservation. When I found out that I was in the motel arm of the hotel, I asked for a room in the main building. They were discourteous and would not change my room for the price that I paid.”

• The closest Hotel to Jacksonville Airport. Within walking distance.
• The pool area was very buggy.

“The hotel was very clean, modern and upscale. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a high scale hotel close to the airport you can't beat the Clarion.”

• The king bed was great.
• The pool was green, and they didn't seem to be in any hurry to fix it. My kids were very disappointed.

“We stayed for 2 nights, and the first double room we had, the AC made a loud noise. They moved us to another room the next day.”

• Room cleaning could be better.

“This property is way overdue for a refurbishment. Twice I have stayed here because of the location and the rates; but the overpowering mildew smell in the shower is disgusting. The rooms are well worn, in both the tower and the poolside wing. If it were not so convenient to the airport, I would never have stayed the second time. If a Clarion inspector had stayed in the rooms where I stayed, and the housekeeping was this poor, the property would probably loose its franchise.”

“The hotel has a great location for the business traveler especially when you have an early flight. The staff is attentive to guest needs. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and quiet.”

“The staff at this hotel is very unfriendly. They tried to put me in a room that was not what I played for. When confronted they were very not happy at all about and acted like I was bothering them I should have been happy to just have any room. I did not speak to any of their staff that really acted as if they knew how to do their job!”

“The pool area was dirty and full of dead bugs. One of our children came down with a contact rash on his hands and feet, likely from the pool. The stay was miserable!”
