“First impression of hotel is via cramped parking lot, with very narrow access aisles, and small spaces. One must back into the spaces, if one wants to get out of the space easily. Parking is $18 for hotel guests! Room was very dusty, had to wash off coffee maker to pour in water. TV cabinet was dusty, too. Sliding closet door panel was broken, had to step all of the way into the closet to access ironing equipment, then water access cover was missing and water splashed onto clothing I was ironing. The complimentary mouthwash had been visibly used, and seal was broken. For the star-level of this hotel, I was sorely disappointed. I've had cleaner rooms and amenities in good repair at much cheaper hotels. Will not recommend this to my 30 colleagues who come to Cleveland twice a year for meetings.”

“Staying at this hotel allowed me to fall in love with Cleveland. The location was within walking distance to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Lake Erie, sports venues, great dining. It was a wonderful place to stay. The view from our room was spectacular. Very nice hotel.”

“The customer service was great our fist time at this hotel bask in October. It was pretty good this time also. Unfortunately the air condition/temp control in our room would not adjust to our desired temperature which made the room uncomfortable.”

“We had quite a few problems at the Crowne Plaza. We were awoken at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning by workers knocking on all doors and then starting an electric drill. When we complained nothing was done about it to make us happier. We needed help to turn the shower on - it seems you have to pull the knob with great force that would seem like you were breaking it. When it did work, the water came out brown for a good 10 minutes. When that water became clear, the toilet water later became brown and then the sink. On our second night, we returned to the room to find that our locks had been changed and our key card no longer worked. They didn't just reset the code they took out the whole unit - new handle and everything and never said anything to us until we couldn't get in. Fortunately whoever responded to our complaints came quickly and had a good spirit. Other than that though, I wouldn't make it my first choice.”

“I think this hotel is excellent. Great rooms, service, and accessibility. Only downfall was up all night due to a loud customer in a room above. Called security to report but loud pounding continued and kept me up all night. Then at 8:00a.m. the drilling started from the replacement of thee locks. Needless to say I got no sleep!”

“Paying $50 for this upscale Cleveland hotel, made many of our other soccer parents in town for a tournament very jealous. They were paying $86 to stay at a Holiday Inn or Comfort Inn.”

“I had several problems with my room, which the staff tried to fix (some they did). The air/heat system was not working properly and the room was very dry and hot at night. There were also problems with the tub draining, a vent hanging (nails gone) over the bathtub. The ice machine on our floor was broken. The maid service was poor, one time I tried to communicate about the ice machine, the girl spoke very little English, was dressed inappropriately and no help. I didn't get but one menu/order form for room service, so I only ordered one meal, no ice bucket bags, didn't restock toiletries. Just a bad experience, I spent my last night (with my daughter) in The Marriott. What an improvement for less money!”
