• Its location to local attractions.
• The place seemed outdated and too pricey for what you get.

“I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff was hardly ever at the desk. The rooms were small and out dated. The decor looked like an old great grandmas house. I have stayed at 2 star hotels that were better than this. Not sure how this hotel was ever rated 4-star.”

• It's a beautiful classic hotel, convenient to almost everything Downtown with incredibly comfortable accommodations!
• Although everything/one was fantastic this time/ usually cannot get a king bed or outside view. Certain staff members are more aloof than friendly.

• The location in Down town is fantastic, you're only 3 blocks from the warehouse district and the best dining in Cleveland.
• It's old and the business center charges for web services and the hotel doesn't have free Wi-Fi or in room internet, you have to pay for them too.

“Over all very charming, an old hotel with lots of history but still modern enough that it feels right. The hotel staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the location at Public Square puts you within walking distance of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, The Browns stadium, the Cavaliers, and the Indians stadiums, plus the Warehouse district for the city's finest Dining and the night life of the flats.”

• The free parking for hybrid cars; very helpful staff!
• Nothing.

“A beautiful historic hotel with modern amenities, great staff, very quiet. Great location for business and leisure travelers, esp. first-time visitors to the area.”

• I requested a King sized bed by calling the hotel after I made the reservation, was promised it and did not get it.

“Clean, comfortable. However, the rooms on the front main side of the hotel are noisy.”

• I liked the location and the overall appearance of the hotel.
• The room condition wasn't 100%. Peeling wallpaper & no mini fridge.

“This is an upscale, classic hotel in Downtown Cle. The location is great for sporting events and the trendy restaurant/bar scene. I only have three complaints.1) Peeling wallpaper in the room. 2) No mini fridge in the room. 3) The cost of self-parking was $23. I could have parked right across the street for $10.”

• Location, next to City Center so can walk at night without concerns.
• Bathrooms are dated/Heater is a separate unit.

• Beautiful, big rooms.
• Escalator out of order, no elevator nearby.

“The room I stayed in was spacious and very comfortable. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.”

• The hotel had style and was very beautiful. It was attached to the mall and that was a plus.

“This hotel is an excellent choice for anyone wanting a luxury experience. This hotel would be a wise choice. We loved it. The staff, food, and service were great also. The central location was a plus too.”

• The pool could have been improved.

“The Renaissance Cleveland is a hotel that met and exceeded my expectations. The hotel rooms were spacious and clean; as well as the rest of the hotel. The amenities were nice, but could be improved; especially the pool.”

• No Refrigerator in the room. TV and lamp need upgrade.

• Old World, quite Charming.
• Surrounding area had a lot of construction.

“Upon arrival I found the room chair broke. A little surprising. It was replaced right away. The rest of the accommodations were fabulous. The bed excellent and staff wonderful. Right next to an upscale shopping area. Hope they work out the details as it's so close to being really amazing.”

• Parking is either expensive of not very close by.

• Beautiful lobby, comfortable bed, clean for most part.
• Pool area, no cream for coffee, no microwave.

“For the most part, the hotel was clean and friendly. The bed was comfortable, and the hotel was conveniently located with walkways to entertainment and shopping. But I did find hairs in the Styrofoam cups supplied with the coffeemaker, and also in a towel and washcloth. There was no creamer supplied for the coffee, and no microwave. The pool area was small, dim, and had no lounge chairs. We did not eat in the restaurants.”

• Light switch in bathroom didn't work, room climate control very old and not responsive.

“This is a beautiful, historic hotel in the heart of Cleveland conveniently located near/in Tower City. Quick access to public transportation, the Cleveland International Film Festival, plenty of nice restaurants and shopping. Concierge was very helpful. However, as with most of these upscale hotels, just having a car parked was expensive.”
