• Great location, attractive decorated room. Great lobby and staff.
• Wireless internet didn't work very well.

• Location - close to the beach.
• Too noisy and very small rooms and small hallways and elevators.

“Poor - very noisy - very small rooms - not enough elevators and very small too only a few people can go up and down at a time tight hallways small heated swimming pool in Florida no regular pool.”

• The Hotel was in the heart of everything in Key West.
• Rooms too small, windows need to open up in room.

“The hotel is right in the heart of Key West and Duval street. When we checked in they didn't have the room we requested, we had asked for a king non-smoking instead we had a double smoking. The staff was amazing in fixing the mistake. The concierge staff was amazing with finding us things to do that weren't super touristy everyday. The room was tiny and seemed very stuffy. The windows are screwed shut so no fresh air in the room. The closet was not large enough to even fit our suitcases. The hotel was remodeled a few years back but was done cheaply. The hotel pool was too small and during peak times was too full to be able to use. The gym facility was horrible. Three pieces of cardio equipment and nothing else. If you are going to stay in Key West stay at one of the small guest houses much nicer and cheaper.”

• Staff and hotel location.
• Non smoking rooms smelled like smoke but, we were moved immediately. Staff was very accommodating.

• The place was filthy, noisy, and smelly.

“This hotel was full of Spring Breakers. There were about 15 of them in the room next to us. The halls and lobbies were filthy and much of the furniture in the room was covered with dust. The rug smelled like vomit. Food trays sat outside the hotel rooms for hours. The cleaning service lost one of my shirts.”

• It was on Duval Street - very convenient.
• Horribly incapable/incompetent staff.

“Nicely located, attractive decor - this hotel has a lot of potential. HOWEVER - we stayed here during spring break '08, and the staff was incapable of controlling the mayhem. They allowed obviously underage drinkers/partiers/people YELLING at all hours of the day/night, very bad indeed. The bar tenders were extremely rude and quite obviously drunk. The front desk was unable to send out our laundry, even after 3 attempts! One bar tender went so far as to send us free drinks to "buy our silence", because he was so drunk and was serving underage partiers in the rooftop bar. We do not recommend this hotel to anyone. This was our honeymoon, which they virtually ruined, with no concern or care in the world. A better business complaint is in order.”

• Very loud noises all evening could not sleep. Told us it was ghosts.

“I was very dissatisfied the second night because of the rushing water in the walls. It went from 4:30a.m. until 6:00 a.m. When I told management they said they had no complaints. I talked to the manager and he said it could have been ghosts.”

• Quality, excellent service, they left you alone.
• Room was tiny, poor quality TV reception & Internet service.

“Overall this hotel was excellent. Location was fabulous. Hotel staff was excellent, restaurant was good. The hotel suffered from being old, thus it was not able to keep up with cable and Internet (technological) services. There was a $10.50/day charge for Internet, and sometimes it took me 1/2 day to connect to the Internet.”

• Beautiful and well kept.
• Noisy rooms with paper thin walls!

“This hotel was very beautiful and conveniently located to Duval St; however the noise level outside at night was loud. The walls in the room were the thinnest ever the men in the room next to us got in at 3:30am and we could hear every word of their argument, and then later could hear one of them snoring like a freight train. Their rooftop has a gorgeous view; however at sunset it seemed everyone in key west that was not a guest was there to see it.”

• Great location on Duval Street. In the middle of all that is going on. An easy walk to just about anywhere.
• Walls were thin and we could hear the people beside us.

“It is a great hotel overall. Very convenient. They provide you with ear plugs, night mask, and things for a tranquil sleep. Very accommodating. The concierge is great! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Key West.”

• Beautiful, clean, friendly staff, great location.
• Rooster crowing faithfully every morning. Sounds of toilets flushing in rooms around us.

“Very friendly, helpful staff. Very clean rooms. Had to pay $19.00 a day for parking on hotel property. Would like to have had a refrigerator in the room. Overall, beautiful hotel; would stay again.”

• Great location, easy to walk to activities and events.
• People put their beach towels down in the chairs to reserve the seats and did not come back for hours, the pool bar was not opened.

• Gave us a room with window looking out into Courtyard.

“Great location. Nice beds. Room we had was with window looking out on Courtyard and we had to keep the drapes closed. Light shone in from edges at night. We were charged an extra $19 per day for parking.”

• Roof top pool/deck/bar/perfect location.
• Workout room was poorly equipped and to small.

“This is a great hotel to really get a good feeling of key west. It is clean, slightly classy and is in the middle of everything. The rooftop deck is great for drinks and watching the sunset. The rooftop pool is well arranged, includes a well stocked bar overlooking duval street.”

• Location was close to all attractions.
• Very small rooms.

“We were given a room on the 6th floor only to find out that the elevators were not working. The hotel was booked so a room change was not possible. We were not happy about having to climb 12 flights of stairs (2 flights per floor) every time we left or returned to our room. The walls are thin and you can hear everything that goes on in the rooms next to you, in the hallway and outside of the hotel. The hotel does not provide free parking to guests but does allow you to park your vehicle for a fee of $19.00 per day. In my opinion, what this hotel charges to stay with them is far too costly compared to what benefits the guest receives. We will not stay here again.”
