“Ocean Key Resort is perfectly located to enjoy all of Key West's attractions. You can walk everywhere. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, airy and have beautiful views. The staff is fantastic! The restaurant, the hot tin roof, serves the finest drinks, wine and food on the island. Their service is world class. This is a wonderful hotel!”

“Hotel was great. The location was wonderful. I had my 77 year old mother with me. She does not walk well and I also had 2 teenagers with me. The hotel is right next to Mallory square and right on the active part of Duvall street. The hotel was in a great location for seeing everything and also for going on boating trips. There was a nice outdoor family restaurant/bar on the deck at the hotel. They had live music nightly and you could listen to it from the balcony. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.”

“I had a great time at the resort. My husband used the spa for a Swedish massage (it was nice having the ability to have a treatment if you wanted). The staff was friendly and helpful. It was close to everything - Duval street, Mallory Square, restaurant's, tour sites (Hemingway house and Truman house) and excursions/water sport tickets. The room was gorgeous with a partial ocean view from the patio. We loved the hotel pool and the hotel restaurant (had breakfast only) as well as the sunset pier bar where you can watch the sunset every evening and have a frozen daiquiri. The resort next door had a cruise ship pull in two days we were there and it was nice seeing the ship arrive and depart (was happy it was not docking in front of our hotel, but liked that we could see the ship from a far).”

“For an ideal location, understanding that you are in the heart of the action, there is no better choice than Ocean Key. We were able to listen to mini-concerts off our balcony. Our ocean front suite faced the sun-sets directly, and we enjoyed a nightly parade of sailboats, catamarans, and go fast boats (slow wake). At 11 p.m. you could hear a pin drop. The sound insulation was fantastic. The newly decorated rooms were pleasingly designed in muted peaches and light green, with raffia textured accent pillows and luxurious spa products.”

“When we walked into our room, we both kept saying, "This is exactly what we've been looking for". The balcony overlooked the ocean (across a parking lot, but still nice) and the room was impeccable. We loved the separate living room (with fully stocked minibar) and the in-room Jacuzzi. I lived on the balcony (and made friends with the local rooster). Most importantly, the staff have followed up with us after we returned from our trip and really made an effort to demonstrate their interest in our feedback. They went to extra lengths to make sure that we were happy and comfortable every opportunity they had. When we went out to the bar, the waiter made excellent recommendations and offered to help us with anything we needed (information about the island, shopping, etc). After about ten minutes at the hotel we decided to stay an extra night. The hotel is close to shopping and attractions. The concierge provided information on activities and booked our snorkeling trip for us--best part of the trip! In response to some of the comments I've seen: the room was in good shape and kept clean. There is only one ice machine and it is on the ground floor, but it's central to almost everything-- I'll admit that I got lost trying to find it (one of the staff saw me wandering and quickly pointed me in the right direction). The extra fees include valet parking (but it's $20 by the day, in and out as much as you want, so it was still reasonable) and a few gratuities but they aren't extravagant. The pool may be small for the size of the resort, but there were lots of sun chairs and poolside drink service. If all you care about is the pool and the beach then stay at the Sheraton on the other side of the island. We will definitely return to the Ocean Key Resort.”

“Amazing location, steps away from sunset pier, Mallory Square and Duval Street. Attractive exterior and beautiful rooms. Received an upgrade to a suite with partial view upon arrival. Friendly check in staff checked us in immediately, despite being 3 hours early. Lovely restaurant and snack bar, great facilities, would definitely recommend.”

“We decided to stay at Ocean Key resort after reading the positive guest reviews on the many travel search engines. We were disappointed with our choice of hotel. The pool is small, often the poolside is crowded and we always had to get our own pool towels. where was the pool attendant? The TV in our room had terrible reception, when we told the staff, an engineer came up but was able to do nothing. At the end of our stay, on checkout, we were charged an extra $150 for pay per view movies we had not ordered, car valet services we had not used. When bringing this to the staff's attention, they were less than helpful. We were appealed to see that our waiter at the hotel's restaurant Hot Tin Roof had at least 4 warts on his hands, as you can imagine, we were immediately put off our food and the service. Key West is a beautiful island, with things to do for all age groups and for people with all interests.”
