  • The view from east facing room was outstanding, staff was very accommodating, complimentary champagne at check-in.
  • Gulf beach front was far from hotel, closed at 4:15, only accessible by ferry, not an oceanfront property.

“The hotel is beautiful with a few qualifications. It is not on the ocean. Ferry service was fun, but impractical. Short hours and very crowded ocean beach. Pools are great, fountains and waterfalls provide ambiance but are somewhat noisy. Lots of younger kids during spring break fun if you are with your family. Maybe not fun if you are childless? Staff is fantastic! Room views on south side are spectacular. We asked to be reassigned from north view over roof and golf course. Received an awesome south view. West views are reserved for those who pay more. Great experience.”

  • Beautiful property and relaxing environment.
  • Put us in a non view room even after we requested a view and the hotel was empty.

“This hotel was very near shopping and great dining. The beach was a nice short scenic boat ride. The pool was pristine. The grounds and atmosphere of this property were wonderful.”

  • Gorgeous property, gracious employees.
  • Cheapened the great atmosphere or "feel" created by charging a $12 fee at check-out for misc resort services used or not.

“This hotel was everything that was advertised and I imagine would have been a great place for kids with all the water activities. The only thing that I disliked was that I was charged a $12 fee at check-out. When I asked what the charge was for they told me self parking, newspaper, faxes, phone calls, and the fitness center and it didn't matter if I had used any of those services or not. I have run into this at the Broadmoore in Colorado Springs too. It is only $12, but to me it tends to take a great experience and cheapen it. I would rather they just charge $12 more for the room. It would be different if the charge was based on usage of the services it is said to be for, but it isn't when I suggested that they tell you up front that there will be such a charge, the answer was that it is listed in the fine print in the information you are asked to sign when you provide your credit card for incidentals at check-in. Wonder what happens if you notice it at that time and say that you don't want any of those services and therefore not the charge either?”

  • Beautiful, relaxing hotel that I wish we could have stayed longer at.
  • Nothing.

“Beautiful hotel with a very friendly staff. Great pools to spend the morning by. The boat ride to the private beach was very pleasant and we even saw dolphins near the boat. The private beach was very nice. Unfortunately the tide prevented us from getting there before 2 pm. I wish we could have stayed longer there. It was very nice. Beds were really nice and the room was spacious and comfortable. I would go back again.”

  • The facilities are kept spotless even when lots of guests are present.
  • The Thanksgiving buffet was over priced for the food selection.

“This was our second stay and was just as enjoyable as the first. Didn't like the restriction of not being able to use the sister facilities till after 4pm because of Holiday.”

  • Too many extra charges.

“Great resort but extra charges were: resort fee $12 (covered parking, boat ride to beach, local calls) and internet ($12).”

  • Great view from rooms.
  • They still charged daily $12 resort fee, but they should not have.

“Nice rooms, clean pools, no beach, quite good restaurants.”

  • The room was very spacious and the surrounding sites were very beautiful.
  • The area was a lot further than I really wanted to stay. I primarily wanted to be in fort Myers. Restaurant prices in my opinion were high.

“Although the hotel was a lot further than where I wanted to stay, it was not hard to find or get to and the price was right. I really enjoyed the stay and I didn't see anything negative about the hotel itself.”

  • Pool area was wonderful.
  • Somehow housekeeping missed our room, had to request service. Didn't replenish all the towels when they removed the used ones.

“Beautiful hotel. Housekeeping could use improvement with their service.”

  • Beautiful hotel every way. Private beach was so nice.
  • Boat going to the private beach, leaves at 9:45 am, the earliest.

“This hotel was nicer than I expected. Beautiful lobby and sunset from the balcony was breath taking. Private beach was very nice, and boat ride was fun. Bar area was open and band was nice. We will go back there.”

  • The entire hotel looked new and tropical.
  • It was a little confusing to find the elevator to go to the parking garage.

“We really liked this hotel and would recommend it to friends. The hotel was clean and new looking. The only complaint we both had were that the staff were just odd. They weren't offensive but they acted more like they were all still in training and left alone to do their jobs. When we approached the concierge with a question, for example, she looked frightened and when I asked "may I ask you a question?" she sheepishly replied "Im not sure that I can answer it, what's the question? That is not what I expected from a concierge at a 4 star hotel. But all in all, the stay was very nice, the hotel was very nice. The pool area was fantastic and the view from our room was spectacular.”

  • Really nice resort. Above expectations.
  • No real beach, but pools were above expectations.

“The Hyatt regency coconut point resort and spa is a diamond in the rough. Your first impression when you see the resort is its a little outdated. But that completely goes away from the minute you open the front door and step inside this beautiful masterpiece of a resort. Many positives, waterfall pools, water slide, hot tubs, free boat ride to private island, hammocks, camp Hyatt, raptor bay golf course, and great dining. Recommend highly to couples and family's and as all Hyatts business travelers.”

“Totally awesome! This was our second time going to this resort. Last year my husband and I went for our anniversary weekend and kept commenting on how much the kids would love it, so this year we took the whole gang (and some friends) and had a blast! Family friendly or romantic; whatever your need, it works.”
