• It was right on the beach, it was beautiful and amazing!
• That room service comes before 10 am.

“It was great! The hotel staff were very helpful, it was a very florida style hotel room and the restaurant was surprisingly delicious!”

• Tiki bar and beach.
• Rooms are old and a bit run down but clean.

“Great beach and Tiki bar, however they close up shop around 10 or 11 pm. After that the south area of the beach is dead. At least during low season. Would stay there again though.”

• The location was great. Right on the beach. It was quiet and a short (10 min) drive to restaurants.
• The hotel bar/restaurant closed early. I don't recall exactly but it was 10 or 11 pm.

“The staff was wonderful and very helpful with activity/restaurant selections as well as directions. The food at the restaurant/bar was good. The room was clean. We would definitely return to this property and would recommend it to others.”

• On the beach with decent food and bar.
• Restaurant was hyped up too much.

“Adequate for beach stay; restaurant was a bit hyped up with excellent sea food. Overall, convenient and nice to be at the beach.”

• The tiki bar and pool areas were always lively.
• It is a basic hotel, quite dated.

“Basic hotel amenities. Although renovated, it is just average. The pluses: beachfront, lively bar area and away from busiest part of town. The minuses: slow traffic on main road and dated decor and rooms (even though renovated). Because of concrete walls, cell phone and internet connections are not good at all.”

• The beach was beautiful, my view was awesome, the stay was very relaxing.
• Older hotel, the curtains were not all on the hooks, a little tacky.

“the location is wonderful, right on the beach. Close to everything, took a trip to Sanibel. The traffic is pretty slow with only one way on and off the island, but the location is worth it.”

• We did not need to leave for dining out.
• Although the restaurant food for dinner could have been better.

“We will be going back. The pool and the sunset view and the tike bar area were great. We did an upgrade on the room and were very pleased.”

• Pleasantly surprised by the amenities.
• The bathroom was a little grungy.

“I had read previous reviews that said the hotel had not been kept up but the location on the beach was the star attraction which was what I was looking for. Actually, I was not impressed by the beach but was pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was and it did appear that they had been working on improving the appearance of the rooms and the facilities were outstanding.”

• The only good part of the hotel was the beach.
• The room was small, not clean, and run down.

“I was very disappointed with the price we paid for this hotel, the quality was not there. The room was run down, dirty and had a bad sewer smell the first niter we were there. The location on the beach was fantastic and the pool area was nice. Service at the bar restaurant was terrible. Would not stay there again.”

• The beach was beautiful.
• The room was incredibly small.

“Here's the thing: if you just want to sleep there, that's fine. The beach is beautiful, but it costs $20 to rent a beach chair and umbrella. Should not a hotel supply that? The room is so small.”

• Excellent beach and view of the Gulf of Mexico.
• Dirty, terrible food and in need of 50 years updating!

“This hotel will most likely become a condo unit within the next couple of years, no money is being put back into the facility to make it a comfortable, clean or pleasant stay and the rooms are best viewed in complete darkness.”

“This hotel is over priced because it is located on the beach, it is several miles from the downtown area the restaurant is poor quality and very over priced. I am glad I did not pay full fare. Could not sleep the first night the sheets had a strong boo smell. Cleaning staff does not speak English? Check their green card.”

• Nice sandy beach, sun chairs, tike bar.
• Some little tiny ants around the bathroom, grooming areas.

“Fun outdoor tike bar by the pool. There were a variety of people at the hotel -some smoking. We loved the nice, sandy beach and moonlight evening walk by the rolling waves. Our second floor room had a very nice view of gulf and pool.”
