Cleanliness:[3] • Staff:[2] • Location:[6]

  • My room opened directly to the pool area through a back door.
  • Hotel had additions that require 2 elevator changes to get to 2nd floor.

“This hotel while convenient to my destination was essentially dirty. It was an old building that showed it's age. There was an addition that required 2 separate elevators to reach the second floor if you used a cart to move your bags to the room. The desk clerk when I checked in refused to provide me with a zero balance receipt when requested despite the fact that they still kept my credit card info on file. She was particularly rude and apathetic while she popped her gum during our conversation. I won't be back here again!”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[6] • Location:[3]

  • When we asked to moved to a cleaner room the staff did so with out hassle.
  • There was another person who also may have.

“There are other hotels in the Lakeland area that seem a bit better for families.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[2] • Location:[2]

  • We were thrilled when we checked out and the nightmare ended!
  • The hotel partied until 4AM. Dirty!

“This hotel group (SouthBeachGroup) is the worst hotel and should not even have a star rating. They do offer a spa, restaurant and bar, but all the extras are horrible! You must have someone stay the full night because it is at night that the demons come out! We did not get a wink of sleep because the lobby was a full bar. When all of the other bars closed for the evening, all of the people knew to go to the Chesterfield. The staff encourages this, so we were stuck with the noise and the smoke drifting into our room. Finally at 4:00 AM, we were able to get a few hours of sleep. The next morning, I had said something to the front desk, they said, that is what the hotel is known for.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[7] • Location:[3]

  • Friendly.
  • Smelled like cigarette smoke.

“Needs renovation.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[2] • Location:[7]

  • The room itself (furniture) was nice, pool very clean.
  • Strong cigarette smell throughout halls, Staff extremely unhelpful and un-courteous.

“The rooms and decor are in line with two star standards, but it is impossible to get away from strong cigarette odors. The beds are not as comfortable as other Holiday Inns Amenities like refrigerators or microwaves are located in random room and staff unable/unwilling to assign rooms to accommodate these even if asked ahead of time.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[10] • Location:[9]

  • Helpful staff. Clean surroundings.
  • Hard to see narrow entrance drive.

“The entrance to this hotel experience needs work. It is not well defined. It is very narrow. The drive needs repair. A poor first impression can set up everything in a bad light. It is excellent.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[7] • Location:[9]

  • The location was nice, and the room was very clean.
  • The restaurant was more like a unkept cafeteria.

“If you are traveling on business and need just a place to rest and relax this is a good hotel. If you're wanting to have all the extras like good food, nice clean inviting restaurants, pool, exercise area then I wouldn't recommend. The staff was friendly enough but not really outgoing to make sure you were happy. Even though the restaurant "Dugout" was unkept, the staff was awesome and really friendly and outgoing, maybe they should have the front desk personnel take lessons from the two ladies we had contact with in the restaurant.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[5] • Location:[3]

  • Sorry, it was a totally negative experience.
  • The entire hotel reeked of cigarette smoke, only one cup of coffee in room, no fridge, no microwave.

“This hotel is inconveniently located on a divided highway so that multiple U-turns are necessary when arriving or leaving. The entire facility reeks of cigarette smoke, there are no fridges or microwaves in the rooms, and only one single-cup coffee package. There was hair in the bathroom sink and mold in the shower. The worst Holiday Inn I have ever seen! I would never, under any circumstances, stay at this hotel again!”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[1] • Location:[1]

  • It was a total dump. Not what I expected from Holiday Inn at all.

“I asked for non-smoking and was put into smoking. I asked to change rooms and got one that had cockroaches in it. Most of the lamps did not work. Not "business traveler" friendly at all. When I checked out the manager passed me in the hall and asked if the loud fan in the hallway was bothering me. I said I was leaving. He didn't bother to follow up and seemed rather indifferent. The desk clerk also seemed indifferent and apathetic.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[7] • Location:[7]

  • Location.
  • The hotel was a loser. Poor lighting. Room didn't get made up till late in day. Poor water pressure. Barely hot water. Sparse furniture.

“I would never again stay at a Holiday Inn.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[4] • Location:[8]

  • Adequate room.
  • No entrance to hotel off 98 North.

“There was no way to turn into the hotel when I came home at night because of an island in the middle of 98N. It did not have a complimentary breakfast, but offered an expensive room service breakfast that I did not participate in. I did not get a newspaper at my door each morning as did most of the other patrons. I did not add any other expenses to my bill because of being ignored. I probably would have frequented the bar and restaurant if I had been more welcomed.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Free Wi-Fi.
  • Horrible housekeeping, absolutely horrible.

“Convenient hotel for Detroit Tigers fans. Not much to do in Lakeland, but convenient. The housekeeping really only made the beds which was annoying. Clean towels were brought to our room but thrown in the bathroom and not hung up. I am also convinced they stole a Starbucks gift card.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[8] • Location:[8]

  • Interior decorating was great. Big flat screen TV. Comfortable living room separate from sleeping area.
  • Room was next to elevator sometimes noisy, bath fan noisy, tub chipped.

“The Lakeland Hyatt was impressive. The rooms were big and the decor was attractive and modern. The hotel lobby was just as nice. Nice amenities like Free continental breakfast with a nice variety. Free computer use and a staff with a "we are here to please" attitude. Rare these days. We will stay here again.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[9] • Location:[8]

  • Convenient, access to all directions, staff was great.
  • Access into parking lot was narrow and only available from one direction.

“Nice facilities, but not as good as the hotels I usually stay at.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[1] • Location:[10]

  • The room was nice & large.
  • Staff not informed if customers checked out or not.

“There was a middle school baseball tournament in town and the hotel put my room on the same floor and the children and it was very noisy. They should have placed other guests on different floors.”

Cleanliness:[3] • Staff:[4] • Location:[3]

  • Free wifi throughout building.
  • Was not a very classy place.

“For a holiday inn, I was surprised to see how poorly maintained the place is. I felt like I was at a super 8 or an economy lodge.”

Staff:[1] • Location:[5]

  • Pool.
  • Old, and tired motel that needs a complete renovation.

“They failed to clean our room and the staff was unresponsive. This place needs a make over . I will never stay at this hotel again. I will tell friends to avoid this dump.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[7] • Location:[6]

  • At least the bed was comfortable.
  • The ceiling in my room was falling down and the fire sprinkler head was leaking water all over the floor.

“Other than the bed was nice, the room was pretty clean, and air was quiet. It was not that bad.”
