• Room cleanliness and comfort.

“It was an okay hotel with fairly clean rooms and uncomfortable beds. The front desk staff was not able to help change rooms or provide a toothbrush that we forgot.”

• Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. Stayed here previously.
• Took the biscuits and sausage gravy off the breakfast.

“Stayed here the past two years for the Hoggetowne Renaissance Faire. Very clean rooms and the staff are very friendly and helpful.”

• Hard to find and no visible signs from the immediate road.

“Good value for the price. Conveniently located near the University of Florida without being right in the middle of campus activities. Did not have special event pricing nor the 2 night minimum stay associated with a football weekend.”

• Convenience to shopping.
• Musty smelling room.

“This location is prime for G-ville visitors. Our room did have distinct wet smell and carpets were damp as if just shampooed. But the smell was from current or recent past leak. We did report it but not to request another room. One night, long drive, not worth moving again after checking in.”

• Not clean, loud and smelly.

“The rooms smell like a cheap bar, the smoke odor was so bad, that we had to take a bath 5 minutes after leaving the room, the staff was nice enough to move us to another room, but while the first room smell like cigars, the next room had a mulch-mildew odor, I would not recommend this hotel to anybody unless you are dead tired and need to pull over somewhere for the night, the only good thing this hotel has is the location off I-75 and the not near proximity to UF.”

• Clean, spacious, good continental breakfast selections.
• Hot water was not always readily available during morning hours in our room.

“Staff was helpful, respectful and accommodating. The room was spacious and clean. During our stay our activities required us to leave before the start of the established breakfast time each morning of our stay. The staff set up breakfast both mornings for all the guests before the scheduled time which benefited us greatly. However, the bathroom tile was very slippery especially after the maid used her cleaning supplies. Also, we were very disappointed with the inconsistent availability of hot water in our room. We needed to let the water run for over 10-15 minutes before hot water was available in the morning between 6:00-7:00 am during a weekend stay. This was unacceptable. During the late evening hot water was available quickly.”

• Location to UF campus.
• Some items in room were very dirty.

“This hotel is good for a short stay. The beds were comfortable, nice hot shower, nice table to eat or make coffee. The coffee maker looked very dirty and the room was not very clean. The electrical outlet for the coffee maker stopped working.”

• The staff were friendly and the bed was comfortable.
• The curtains were sheer, so you could not get complete privacy.

• I enjoyed the heated swimming pool.
• Can not think of any thing.

“This is a great hotel to stay at if youre in the Gainesville area. It is located near the Interstate, mall, and other local night life. It was very clean and felt very safe to stay in. It was well worth. I would definitely stay there again.”

• Luggage racks in hallways in middle of the night.

• Good location for my purposes.
• Mattresses badly worn. Breakfast choices limited.

“We have stayed at this hotel about 6 times. You get what you pay for. It's a clean mid-budget hotel. The breakfast has been scaled down since we started coming here about 4 yrs ago. Not as good as it was. Good overall value for the money.”

• I had to change out of my first room because the lock was broken. In the second room, one of the beds had sheets that hadn't been changed.

“A convenient location, rooms O.K. Biggest downfall was when I checked in I was informed I couldn't have non-smoking when I asked why not the girl at the check-in said" we will be full tonight and I said but I am here early and booked non-smoking.”

• Location was convenient.
• Carpet cleaner left in room. Room smelled heavily of carpet cleaning solutions. Bed sheets did not fit bed and kept coming off.

“The staff was friendly and the breakfast is good. The carpet cleaning equipment was left in the room and the room smelt heavily of carpet cleaning solution. The bed sheets did not fit the bed and I was putting them back on all night. Pillows are of poor quality and uncomfortable.”
