• The customer service was excellent. We also had a lot of fun relaxing in the pool area after driving all day!

“We were looking for somewhere decent to stay as a halfway point on our road trip. What we found was a great hotel, with great service in a neat little town. We were so happy to find that the pool.”

• Noisy due to interstate traffic.

“Our first room was marked as non smoking but it was very smokey smelling. They put us in another room that faced the interstate that was very noisy all night.”

• It was quiet, clean and comfortable.
• The pool chlorine smell was way too much. Some may not like age of hotel.

“This was an older but well maintained hotel with indoor and outdoor corridor rooms. There was an indoor pool and free breakfast. It was comfortable and clean. Our room was quiet. The hotel was convenient to shopping, restaurants and gas stations. Perfect for visitor activities in Asheville and Hendersonville/Flat Rock, NC.”

• The front desk staff, but not the manager. Restaurant staff was great.
• Female manager was rude and argumentative. Rooms were old and shabby.

“The front desk was quick to change my room and the female manager was being curt with customers. She said at least five times that she was having a bad day and was totally unprofessional. I dealt with front desk who was helpful and friendly. The wait staff in the restaurant was great and did a great deal to offset the depressing decor. I do not think much has been done to this hotel in quite a few years. The only thing that was maintained well was the pool and spa. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone.”

• The hotel lounge and bartender were good and friendly.
• Main reason I chose this was for the hot tub and sauna, neither worked.

“I was told that too many chemicals had been put in hot tub and that it would be ready the following morning. Not only was it not ready and wasnt for the entire stay but the sauna was closed 'until further notice' with no explanation. The keys we were furnished didnt work and we had to get new ones. No one offered us any perks or extras to compensate.”

• The Grandkids loved the indoor pool.
• Rooms dirty, toilet not cleaned, beds were horrible.

“This was our first disappointment with any room we've ever stayed. We requested an indoor pool for our Grandkids. The outside & public areas were clean & presentable. The rooms very old, dirty. Our toilet seat was filthy. Had it not been late we would have left and went elsewhere. The mattress was one big lump with us trying not to slid off the downhill slope. When we tried to complain no one was around.”

• The amenities were incredible.
• I was not prepared with swim trunks and felt cheated.

“Very nice hotel with every amenity you would need. The staff was friendly enough. You guys should list all the amenities and include pictures of this great place to stay. I will say this. The room wasn't completely clean. I'm a former GM of two different types of hotels in Charlotte, NC, and with my great success I found that all the amenities and friendly service are hurt by an unclean room. Concentrate on hiring and training an efficient housekeeping staff and all will be fine.”

• The hotel was convenient to shopping centers and restaurants.
• We received no maid service at all during our stay and did not receive our free breakfast because no wait staff was present In the restaurant.

“We were not at all Impressed. Our reservation was wrong when we arrived, and they tried to put us In a different room. Then we didnt receive any maid service or the free breakfast. We waited twenty minutes In the restaurant and never saw an employee. The staff that we did Interact with at check In and check out was not very friendly and seemed unconcerned when we told them about our problems with out stay. We won't go back!”

• Indoor/ public area far exceeded my expectations.
• Rooms were dull like any cheap motel noisy ac unit.

“Overall great. I loved the breakfast at the restaurant great food. Fairly easy access into and out of the hotel. And easy to find.”

• The gal at the front desk was very helpful and polite.
• Had to stop business meeting in order to get items out of room by 11:00 am.

“I would recommend this hotel to anyone who would ask. The pool area was very nice. People very cordial. Rooms were comfortable.”
