  • Convenience.
  • Not having the bed made and room cleaned when we left at 6:00 pm.

  • Was understand when I did not us their parking garage and did not charge me, they took my honest word on it.
  • I can't get over how higher class hotels do not have a refrigerator.

“Very clean and everyone always greeted us. I will be using it again next time I am down there. The only thing that really bothered us was the elevators did seem very old and at one point someone stole the key and it was inoperable for a few hours.”

  • Very good location to downtown.
  • Pool bar was not open- no vending machines working.

  • Nice hotel, good location and view.
  • They only had one parking lot, and charged me $12 per day. Also internet was through an outside vendor.

“The room was very nice, and clean. The bed very comfortable, as I have come to expect at Westin. I was not happy that they only have one parking lot, it is $12 per day to park. They also have their internet through an outside vendor that is $10 per day.”

“This whole property is a no smoking area - no balconies, no where, staff commented on check in - there is a $200.00 fine upon evidence of smoking, then went on to explain a smoke free weekend would be good for us, and then explained where the gym was. We didn't ask for, or require either comment for what they charge we will go to another hotel - one that understands the words paying guest.”

  • Location in the center of Tampa life. Amazing staff. Quiet, comfortable, everything I need rooms.
  • No hot tub by pool.

“The newly transformed Westin in Tampa meets the Westin reputation for comfort and quality. The staff was more than accommodating and personable. The location is amazing. Walking or trolley distance of the nightlife of the Port, Ybor or the museums of downtown. The unwind hour is a plus in any world.”

  • The hotel is in a great location.
  • The common areas of the hotel are currently under renovation.

“The value for the type of room met my expectations. Even a best western does that. In addition, it didn't work in the room and the staff did not know how to correct the problem.”

  • They were renovating, so it was a nightmare.

“They were renovating so everything was up side down! Only one elevator worked and you had to wait 10-15 minutes to get on. There was banging from construction, no one was helpful, and we did not sleep all night long. Worst stay at any hotel.”

  • Front desk very welcoming and friendly great room with view very clean great bed.
  • Lack of inexpensive casual dining. I was very tired and just wanted a coffee shop. Of course I could have had room service.

  • Noisy workers during daytime hours.

  • Fantastic view from our room. Lobby/public areas very nice.
  • First room had fresh blood drops on sheet and 2 burned out light bulbs. Second room had 1 bulb burned out. No "heavenly beds" anywhere in sight.

“This hotel will become a Westin before the month of April ends and all Hotel staff seems excited about this upgrade and chance for a fresh start. Their restaurant is currently only open for breakfast and things are on the decline.”

  • The location on the water and very close to the convention center was very convenient.
  • The room smelled like smoke and we did not get any sleep the second night because of loud guests and nothing to drown out the sounds.

“The hotel is in a great location with very comfortable beds and a double massage shower. There are many amenities on site. The only problem we had was the smoky smell of our room and not being able to sleep because of the noise in the hallway. A fan could have helped.”

  • Location & the lobby rooms in the hotel are shabby & are in urgent need to renovate.
  • On contacting the manager about bath room with mold , broken sink broken tiles & shabby room , she told that it was one of the upgraded rooms

“The rooms are shabby . Hotel staff did not accept that any thing is wrong with mold in the bath room or the broken sink or the broken tiles or if the carpet is old & stained . According to them they do not care , as the Wyntham name is no longer existing and the hotel's name will change to Westin from 18th April .”

  • Been there before. Still great. Quite, secluded.
  • In the middle of changing to a Westin. Restaurant lacking.

“Still my favorite place to stay in Tampa. The staff, even though the hotel has been sold and changing to Westin, the staff were exemplary and responsive. Very convenient self parking and only $10 per day. No complimentary internet though, $9.95 daily but most upscale hotels charge for internet now.”
