• extra pillows without asking.
• Bathrooms were a little cramped.

“The hotel was neat and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was a just an overnight stay but I utilize the facility again.”

• Very nice room.
• A convention of 1000 plus teenagers and one elevator.

“The hotel overall was very nice with friendly staff. The hotel was hosting a convention of teenagers with numbers around 1600. My room was right next to a few of them and I had to call the front desk because of the noise at 1130pm. On top of that they are doing elevator maintenance and only one elevator was working at a time. Not good when on the 15th floor.”

• Hot tub is horrible.

“Needs new hot tub. Needs more obvious cigarette disposal at exterior doors. Needs better AC in room 540. Otherwise great. And needs more vegan choices on menu.”

• Nice television & bed.
• Working on the elevator, noisy fairly early in am, we came & went. So had to pay $18 valet parking cost plus of course a tip each time we got car.

“Fine comfortable hotel. Valet & bell staff was especially friendly & courteous. The most disappointing was the bathroom - very unremarkable! Plus nowhere to set anything down except on the closed toilet lid. Not a towel bar anywhere, so just how are we to reuse towels and save water?”

“I liked the hotel, but was not happy with not being told about the parking fee. I was under the impression that the valet service was a courtesy and on a tip basis.”

• Great location.
• We could not get into the pool or the gym. Was informed door would be propped open and it never was.

“Great if you are a business traveler. The hotel and the grounds are beautiful. The staff was less than helpful. Had to wait several minutes to check in for someone to come out from the back. Front desk notifies us there would be someone to let us into the pool/gym area because our card would not work. No one ever showed up so we were unable to take advantage of one of the features of this hotel.”

• The hotel was very well kept.
• The parking was very expensive and it was quite a walk if you did not choose to pay for valet parking.

“This hotel is very nice. They do need to add parking cost to their website. I looked ahead of time, but it was nowhere on their website. It was quite expensive. I would definitely stay in the hotel again. It was very well kept and cleaned.”

“The staff was very courteous, extremely helpful and friendly. This would make me want to stay again and again and again. I travel a lot, so connection to people either make of break my day.”

• The pool and deck were nice. It was in a nice Downtown location.
• Restaurant staff was rude. Our sink was broken.

“My first impression of this hotel was nice. The front desk and bell stand staff were extremely friendly and helpful. However, I lost my love for this hotel by the end of my 2-night stay. First, the sink in our room was missing pipes, causing water to spill all over our bathroom floor any time we used the faucet. Next, the restaurant staff was extremely rude if you don't like serving a late lunch to people, close the restaurant! Finally, on our last night we had to go to bed early to prepare for an early departure to the airport. At 1am, there was banging on our door. It was a bell hop with a drunken lady he had escorted her to the wrong room (probably her fault) and woke us all up. Sorry, but this is not a 4-star hotel.”

• Paying excessive rate for parking.

“The hotel was very nice. Clean rooms, wireless internet for the laptop, pool. My wife and I had a great view of Tampa's Downtown area. Our only complaint; the amount ($20) we had to pay for parking each night. Seemed excessive.”

“The Hyatt Downtown was an amazing. From the minute we stepped out of the car to the time we left, the staff and entire hotel staff was top notch. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.”

• Extra helpful staff and really clean hotel; couldn't have been better.
• Nothing - enjoyed everything.

“This is an excellent hotel and it has very high class feel to it. Although I got my room at an unbelievable rate it is well worth much more. I would definitely stay at this location if I ever return to Tampa.”

• Location was good. The room was large enough.
• Bathroom was uncomfortable & the staff was mediocre.

“One had to bump into (and lean into) the toilet in order to use the sink. The valet/parking staff was not helpful. The coffee maker was broken.”
