• The location was very convenient.
• There were sparks shooting out of the light in the bathroom.

“This hotel was very disappointing. The rooms were not clean. The light was out in the bathroom. I went and got another bulb from the cleaning staff to replace it. After we replaced the top bulb and turned the light back on, sparks shot out of the bottom bulb. The bottom bulb was just hanging by a single wire from the fixture. The wall was black behind it and above the fixture indicating that at some time it had caught on fire. We were afraid to plug any of our hair appliances into the plugs in the bathroom after that. The screen above the door was broken. The outside of the hotel was shabby and in need of some updating and cleaning. Also, the information on the web said that check in was at 1:00 p.m., but when we got there they told us that we could not check in until 3:00 p.m. Other people were trying to check in at that time, so they got the same misinformation that we did.”

• Staff was very nice; room was very clean.
• Wi-Fi in our room did not work had to go to the lobby.

“Good price, nothing fancy but very clean and friendly. It was very quiet in the evening.”

• Got our rate mixed up and our credit card.

• It was close to where I needed to be.
• Mold in the shower. Disgusting carpets. Damp, noisy AC.

“For the quality of hotel, it should have cost $25 per night, not $90. Mold in the shower and very scary carpet made it less than appealing.”

• The staff was very friendly. Location was close to area attractions.
• Would have been a peaceful setting if landscaping was kept up with. River runs behind property, grass too high. Pool wasn't working because of pump.

“For the price, the rooms were clean and everything worked in them. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the pool was shut down by the state because of a pump. Not the hotels fault, but the pool looked very clean with plenty of chairs and tables to enjoy. It would have been really nice if the grounds were kept up a little better with some landscaping.”

• By far the best value in the area for the weekend, and decent besides.
• Night staff was a little bit grouchy.

• It had a microwave oven.
• They were people partying all night long in the 2 rooms next to us.

“Convenient to downtown Asheville but not a good place to stay if you'd like a good night's sleep. The walls were thin, people were partying all night long, and our front door did not close properly.”

• Rooms had fridge & microwaves, which would be nice for many people.
• Needs more updating, smoke alarm in my room was hanging from wall.

• Good price.
• Worn out bed, train noise at night.

“Very nice place and was fine except for the trains going by in the night and the bed was broken down. Needs new mattress.”
