“Place is in need of a serious upgrade. The bathroom fixtures were broken, and the floor in the bathtub sagged. The continental breakfast was dismal. I was told there was a complimentary shuttle to the airport. It was not complimentary at all; between the trip to the hotel and the one back to the airport, I was out another 30.00. Plus, it was in a seedy part of town. What a dump!”

• The pool was great. Location to local eating places great.
• They leased rooms to young people to party in. to noisy.

• It was inexpensive.
• Very poorly ran, scary at night, claimed were out of towels, dirty.

“This hotel was very poorly run and quickly reminded me why we should have spent more money and stayed somewhere else. We were told there were no more towels, so a so-called "security" guy was told to take towels out of other rooms to give to our group. We were also told we would have available a roll-away bed to use which did not happen. Since this was not available we had to spend money yet a second crappy room for our family. The first room I was given even had the head-board torn from the wall and holes in the wall. (of course we asked for another room). I guess you could say this was a half-star or maybe if lucky a one-star nights' stay. I do know that I will for sure spend the money next time to feel like my family is safe and not in a dump.”

• The hotel was dirty and there was a smell to the rooms.

“This hotel was quite rundown, and it was also dirty. The room had a strange smell to it and the air conditioning did not work well. This was not a pleasurable place to stay.”

• Close to: airport, chain restaurants, shuttle service.
• My room: bathroom ceiling over tub/shower was falling down, maintenance plumber removed/replaced old tub drain pipe & left the broken one lying in the.

“This is a place to drop-off your stuff & be gone most of the day. This is an old facility that is in continuous rehab/upgrade. The rooms were not designed to handle all the electrical accessories u may bring & what is installed by motel (TV, refry, microwave, and coffee pot. Extensive use of electrical outlet expanders. Rooms with adjoining interior doors do not block sound from your neighbor; u can join in on their conversations or tell their children to be quiet. Room price is based on location & time of year, not the attractiveness of the room. I'm a single business traveler. It was a clean place to stay & lots of security staff roaming the grounds, 24-hrs.”

• Proximity to Airport.
• Leaky faucet, short shower curtain, bad locks, terrible breakfast.

“This was a pretty large facility. Conveniently located in Tampa Bay and a good base of operations starting point. The hotel room itself was very worn down. Our first room had a security lock that did not match up with the bolt so it was kind of useless. I felt it was extremely overpriced for the room and environment you got. Air Conditioner was very loud. Bathrooms were in very poor condition, especially the tub. Toilets didn't flush very well.”

• Dumpy, poor quality mattress and sheets.

“The staff was friendly, but the hotel is pretty much a 'dump'. It is very run down. The bed, mattress and sheets were poor quality, our toilet would not flush and when I tried to call the front desk, the phone didn't work. The hotel is huge and it was about a 2 block walk to the front desk. Very disappointed in this hotel. I thought is was below a 2* standards is very conveniently located to the airport and there are a number of restaurants within walking distance.”

• Smelled, dirty. We had to ask to be moved from the first room they gave us.

“It was awful. The first room they put us in was a non-smoking but smelled horrible of smoke. The air conditioner didn't work and it was dirty. ”

“Ants on the nightstand, a hair dryer that didn't work, and a wake up call system that didn't call me at 7:00AM, but did manage to call at 2:40AM, again at 4:00AM and at 9:30PM the next night, a maintenance guy who never showed up, shirtless yahoos drinking beer on the walk way outside their rooms, and a dangerously hidden stair well that was the only way up to the second floor. Neighborhood was ok, despite the two nudie bars within walking distance, TV worked, towels and sheets were clean, cheapest hotel within 5 miles of convention center, Bennigans on site.”

• It had a nice location.
• This is the most disgusting motel I have ever stayed in. The floor was so filthy that you could not walk on it without turning your feet black.

“I would like to refuse to pay for the room but I do not know how to go about it. I complained with the motel clerk, but got nowhere. This motel is an example of what can go wrong with cleanliness, I am very much afraid. I would not hesitate to have the state department of health come in and see what the mold or gross stuff on the floor was. My wife has asthma and had to be on her in hailer constantly during the stay. This stay was just not acceptable.”

• Location near strip clubs, abundant deferred maintenance on rooms, large holes in carpet, poorly maintained.

“The Tampa West shore zone should not include North Mabry. Hotel is near many strip clubs, approximately age of hotel is 30 years with limited updating on the inside of rooms, original hotel doors could see broken in multiple times on our exact room, iron chained to ironing board, very tired linens, sheets with which I've grown accustomed.”

“This hotel does not rate 1 star. It was old and dirty. We were woke up by drunks knocking on the door and later fire trucks and police cars for some reason. This survey must be a joke because if you read the reviews and surveys you would realize you have this hotel overrated. Why do not you go there and spend the night and see for yourself what everyone is telling you or just listen to what everyone is telling you.”

• Very loud run down paper thin walls had 6:30 am flight woke up by TV next room 1:45 am dump!
