“Classy, very clean hotel with large, open entry and registration area. Staff at registration and restaurants very helpful and friendly. Excellent airport shuttle service. Room was clean, beds comfortable, towels huge. Felt pampered.”

“This hotel is listed as a Tampa International Airport hotel, but only in so far as it is a 10-minutes drive from the hotel. There are others that are closer. However, the hotel offered great value with comfortable accommodations and friendly staff.”

“Our room was in tower - winding narrow hallways to get there. Definitely not a upscale. Room had nice big window, unfortunately, it overlooked the interstate and was very noisy. Needs to be updated, new carpet, etc.”

“Excellent front desk staff all shifts. Hotel clean, FREE internet service in Business center. Warm cookies available at front counter throughout our stay-just ask! Excellent treatment as customers. Hotel eating venues excellent and not expensive. Plenty of towels and bed was out of this world. Free and easy self parking. Hotel had recent face lift of rooms and public areas.”

“Overall, good experience; facilities and common area were nice and as expected. Room overlooked a narrow walkway to the pool area, bathroom had dripping tub faucet, there was not much water pressure in shower head, and there was a sewer burp that caused temporary sewage smell in the room. Our room was located next to employee supply room, so had some noise. HVAC system was frustrating also; either too hot or when it kicked on it blew right in the face of person sleeping in bed adjacent to it.”

“We did like the hotel, and have been a fan of the Doubletree in the past, but felt a real lack of service this time. If anything, get a lock for your luggage when you leave your room at this hotel.”

“The hotel was close to the airport (for those who need every last minute). The rooms, pool area, fitness center, and restaurant were great. Only bad thing was that construction is currently in progress and the sound of power tools while sitting by the pool I could do without. Also the room key cards did not allow us to gain entry on 3 occasions sending us back to the desk for new ones. Housekeeping staff was excellent as were the wait staff in the restaurant/bar. Would definitely stay again.”

“This hotel is under new management and I believe they are in the process of remodeling which this hotel needs very badly. The key card did not always work to let you in the room. You have to pay a fee of $11 a day to use the internet in your room.”
