“The first homestead suite in Tampa was so bad, that they try to give us 2 different rooms. 1st one had mildew & tub was dirty, 2nd one the AC didn't work. So they called another homestead suite in largo to give them our reservation. Out of my way of course but the rooms were OK for two nights.”

• The price, but I got what I paid for poor service.
• When I went to check in on Saturday night May 16, I had to wait over an hour for someone to answer the door.

“Terrible, had to wait for over an hour for the night clerk to come and honor my reservation. Called the Homestead Customer Service via the phone provide outside the hotel six times before someone was able to get me assistance. If Homestead stays on the list, I may never use Priceline again.”

• Very convenient to airport; great kitchenette.
• Only one chair for 2 of us.

“Clean, friendly and knowledgeable staff, flexible (we somehow got a "smoking room" but the hotel was quick to switch us and check back if we were satisfied).”

• Room was inadequate for more than 2 people and tight space even for 2 so called equipped kitchen had no equipment had to ask office for pots and pans.

“For the service offered at the hotel would have been much happier with a motel 6 with 2 beds and daily housekeeping instead of a kitchen with pretty much nothing but plates and silverware.”

“Woke up at 2:30 am to see a mouse chewing on my food brought into the room. (sealed from the factory) Hotel staff were nice though and did give me a comp for another night at any of their chains.”

• The friendliness of the staff, and the fact that he called us upon check in to be sure all was fine.
• The cleanliness of the kitchen area. We did not need to use it but it appeared dingy.

“Overall I was please with my stay at this hotel. It was close to the airport, and near dining areas for us. My only concern was the kitchen area. It needed some polishing and cleaning.”

• The Clerk was very courteous.
• Room not clean. Thick cobwebs on walls.

“The Homestead hotel was not very clean; the rooms are old with spider webs all over. Hotel simply needs to be remodel along with new beds. It was not a pleasant stay. I slept in the room only one night it was just that bad to me.”

“No house keeping, no pool, no pots and pans. Not sure what makes them stand out from everyone else when they take away normal services people are used to. No products are even provided like shampoo and stuff. I like the idea of a kitchen but the rooms are smaller and a lot less offered then used to getting.”

“A good clean basic room with kitchenette. No frills. Just fine as an inexpensive base camp to go out and explore from.”

“The room was very clean and just what we expected. The mattress, however, was horrible. We have stayed here before and never had a problem, but this time I awoke with the worst backache of my life! Maybe it was just this particular room. We would stay again, but if this is a recurring problem would have to go elsewhere.”

• Very accessible; friendly staff.
• Paying for internet access when other hotels are free.

“Great for business and short term leisure travel. Probably great for long term visitors as kitchen is included. Oh, but one extremely irritating problem of the cleaning person banging on the door at 8am to clean the room when checkout is 11am. This has happened several times. There was no "do not disturb" sign for the door, but even though I felt this was unnecessary.”

• When I had to check out I didnt due to an extended stay for one more night. I didnt have to checking and just made a call to the front desk while away.

“Well I only have to say is that the housekeeping personnel just need to re check the rest rooms because there's lots of hair left behind. Thats a lot of germs and can pass something on to someone in a bio way. But I was and always happy with my stay.”

• The hotel room is very clean the first day you walk in.
• Does not have any complimentary breakfast or a pool.

“Needs more upgrading. Especially when you have kids, they need a pool to play in and the rooms need to be clean more offending. The staff are ok. Some of the maids are very friendly. Needs a security gate.”
