  • Quality and friendly staff.
  • The food was extremely high water in the room was $8.

“Overall a great stay, very clean and friendly staff. Beautiful grounds as well. Kids loved the pool and the bar in the pool area was so convenient. However, the drinks were too high.”

  • Clean and very nicely appointed.
  • To self-park means lugging bags from the garage quite a way to the lobby without the benefit of ramps.

“Very nice lobby and rooms. Staff is extra-courteous. Beds are quite comfortable. Internet is an extra charge, however.”

  • Beds were very comfortable.
  • When providing clean towels did not give any wash clothes.

“Not the attention to detail that I expect from a hotel like this. Housekeeping left something to be desired. No replenishing of washcloths and didn't clean a side table that had rings from a soda on the glass. The roll away bed was not in the room and we had to call to have it brought to us.”

  • Our room was wonderful we had part of a suite with a great view!
  • Restaurant was a bit pricy and free shuttle to mall stopped very early on Saturday.

  • It is wonderful and amusing hotel.
  • It is about parking, it would be better to have elevator to lobby in hotel.

  • Customer service was excellent.
  • Possibly got bed bugs.

“Not the most family friendly place to stay, but staff was extremely helpful and ready to please. Initially got a one bedroom room, when needed a 2 bed room, but got 2 beds the next day without a problem. Very close to the airport helpful to leave.”

  • The staff was very friendly.
  • Old TV's 4 star should mean flat screen.

“Very nice place, nice rooms well appointed rest room. The staff was very friendly. My only complaint: As a 4 star hotel they should have flat screen TV's with Hi-Def.”

  • Very clean. Great location to the main highways.
  • Parking is a problem when the hotel is full.

“Stay 2 nights at the Holiday Inn Express. The hotel was clean and the staff helpful. The location was good if you wanted to go to a Phillies spring training game or needed to get on Rt 19. The beaches are about 10 minutes away.”

  • It was very convenient in regards to location.
  • The cleanliness of the hotel did not meet expectations.

“The hotel room that I stayed in had soiled furniture and the decorative pillows were falling apart. Additionally, an individual I traveled with accidentally soiled the sheets before we left for a very long day of activities. Upon our return at night we pulled the sheets from the bed only to notice that housekeeping staff did not change the sheets when performing everyday housekeeping duties. When we called downstairs it appeared that the housekeeping staff was gone for the day so the front desk sent up security with extra sheets and we, the hotel guests, had to change the sheets. We also noticed that the tub was not cleaned. I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the hotel because I'm willing to pay extra for clean accommodations. Overall, if I didn't have this experience I would rate the hotel higher.”

  • The bathrooms were fairly nice.
  • The subpar skills of the front desk staff and concierge.

“Unless you like traveling for 1 1/2 hours in traffic and visiting St. Petersburg due to lack of clear access to this hotel, you might want to look elsewhere. At this time, the construction near the hotel makes getting from the airport to this property a "real trip".”

  • Wonderful staff at reception, clean, lovely rooms.
  • Nada.

“We were in town attending a wedding shower, so we didn't get to the Hyatt to check in until 9:30pm. No problem. The reception staff we quick, kind, and upgraded us to a high floor room with a bay view. We stayed at a 4-star hotel for about half the price.”

  • Well appointed public areas.
  • No microwave, no refrigerator in the room, rooms were rather small for the 'star' rating.

“The location is very convenient and it is very clean and well appointed. However, the rooms are small and the pool was dirtier than I expected for the look and feel of the hotel. Staff are friendly.”

  • The grounds, hotel, & lobby were superb & very upscale. Staff was highest caliber.
  • No complaints at all (and that's unusual for me!).

“My husband and I stayed here one night. The hotel was superb (and I am a self-admitted hotel snob!). When we checked in, the front desk person offered us two glasses of champagne and made us feel so welcome. The lobby and surroundings were top-notch and it felt like we had just arrived at the 4 seasons! I asked the man at check-in how the view was from our room and he said "not great, but I think I can get you a room with a better view." So, just for asking, he upgraded our room at no charge! Our room was gorgeous and the view was amazing--we had a nearly floor to ceiling glass wall of windows that looked out over the shimmering blue water. The bed & furnishings were also top-notch. Also, although we didn't get a chance to eat there, this hotel has one of the best restaurants in the city (called "Oyster Catchers").”

  • The location, overlooking both Tampa Bay and the airport, provides great views from all rooms.
  • There was no lighted, magnifying mirror in the bathroom.

“We love this hotel. While it is a luxury hotel, it is not snooty. The staff is exceedingly friendly to adults and children alike. The rooms are spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable. The bathrooms are also spacious (but could use a lighted, magnifying mirror), and the bath amenities provided by the hotel smell wonderful. The room service menu offers a wide variety of food, is nicely priced and tastes great!”

  • Location, view of Tampa bay.
  • Had a problem with room smell in bathroom.

“Hotel is in a great central location close to airport and shopping. Tried the restaurant in the lobby 3 times, each time was disappointing. This was the only restaurant in the hotel that we did not need a reservation for. We had to change rooms on our second day due to a horrible smell in our bathroom. Maintenance said it was coming from our bathtub.”
