“The way the room was set up was great the kids loved the bunk beds built into the wall, but bring a sleeping blindfold if you plan on sleeping in the bedroom. Also, bring some roach spray!”

“Even though I had a deluxe room, the sleeping accomodations included only a double bed. In this day and age, I certainly expected a Queen or King. The resort itself was lovely but I do not expect that anyone I know would be happy with a double bed so I would not recommend it. The elevator nearest our room was broken the 3 days we were there and our room was on the 3rd floor so this was bad for older people.”

“Instead doors facing parking lot it face indoor wide hall people walking and talking up and down with bedroom facing hall with only a blind on window light shining in room all night felt if people could peek in only one elevator, inside rooms were nice with full kitchen, was not able to get extra pillows I need for sleep, sleeper sofa was not made up, we had to go to desk to get the sheet to make it up ourselves I think this is extended stay which I stayed in for a year but this one was only good for a night. The staff was friendly on day shift locked our luggage for since we arrived in early am check in was 3 pm.”

“While the location is great, the hotel is in need of vast improvements to earn the rating they claim to have. I was shocked to open the door and see patches on the walls, cobwebs on the ceilings, dirt on the floors, etc. This is definitely not a 3- or 4-star hotel.”

“The room was nice as well as clean. A beautiful view of Tampa Bay from a private balcony. Easy enough to get to attractions in the area. Staff was friendly.”

“I stayed at this hotel because it was a three star and only a little more expensive than the two star hotels in the area. Since this was my boyfriend's and my first vacation in three years, I thought it would be good to pay the extra amount to stay in the nicer room. It was not nicer. I feel bad saying it because I'm sure the staff tries their best, but I felt like we were staying on the set of a hotel's horror movie. I was glad when we woke up with our torsos still attached to our bodies. The entry door of the suite opens directly to a long creepy corridor (with built-in bunk beds towards the end. Good for big families, I guess). The master bedroom is in the very front of the suite, the window is right up against the main hallway that guests walk through to get to their rooms (accessed exteriorly) room. The bathroom lighting was ridiculously dim, honestly laughable. The kitchen would be good for a big family or someone staying for a while because the appliances are all full size. Basically, the hotel seems like it was an old apartment complex badly remodeled into suites. Our room was awkwardly laid out and in desperate need of updating. It may have been clean, but the finishes and decor made it feel dirty. Staff was nice but I would still choose a Hampton Inn over the Sail port Waterfront Suites any day. Unless you are a big family with little children or have the desire to film a dark, creepy horror movie.”

“I was very pleased with Sailport. Great location, quiet rooms with a great view of Tampa Bay. Rooms were spacious, and had everything you need. Spacious living room, balcony, kitchen, large granite desk area, and private bedroom. I liked the covered parking, and felt very safe. I would definitely stay there again!”

“This hotel was perfect for what we needed. Tampa International Airport was close for the early flight of my girlfriends at 6 a.m. It was close for us to go to the beach and plenty of restaurants to choose from. The staff was nice and also 24hr security onsite. We plan on staying there again in the future. Always come here for my travel. I am very satisfied.”

“Was a very pleasant stay, nice views of the bay? The only two negatives was the parking was very cumbersome, tight spots and one way driveways so that you had to go around the whole building when coming and going and also the elevator was very slow and the only one for the building. Otherwise, I would highly recommend to others and will definitely be a spot to pick for future stays in Tampa.”

“The rooms have a very odd set up, the carpet was very dirty, the pull out sofa/bed was a mat that a dog would have trouble sleeping on, the room was very stuffy, and the A/C did not cool the place down; even at night. There were not enough pillows for the room and the room had a musty smell along with the card key not working properly. The selling point would be the view. P.S. If you blink an eye you will miss the entrance and the front desk is on the second floor.”

“The sail port is a good option for travelers wanting to venture into both Tampa and Clearwater's. Pete. The rooms all have wireless internet, a desk, and kitchen facilities. Plus, most have views of the bay from your balcony. There are donuts and coffee served each morning and complimentary newspapers are also available.”

“Sailport Waterfront Suites is a nice quiet place to stay close to the Tampa International Airport. The full kitchen had granite counter tops, appears to have all new full size appliances. The wireless internet service and the nice big desk area worked great! The van drivers were all very nice and the free trips to my business meetings, drug store, food store, restaurants and the International Mall let me avoid renting a car for the week. Also, the little store, next to the registration desk is open 24 hrs a day comes in very handy when all you need is some milk for your coffee! They also have an ATM there if you run low on cash! My room faced the tennis court, which is lighted for night play. I noticed folks using the barbecue pits near the court but I do not recall hearing a lot of noise from my 3rd floor room. The view from my room was wonderful! I was probably about 50 yards from the water's edge and could see pelicans diving for food and an occasional fin in the water. I do not know if it was a dolphin or shark, but it was very interesting! They also have a nice large deck on the water that is great for watching sunsets. Considering the very reasonable price, I would definitely stay here again if I was in the Tampa area.”
