  • Cheap.
  • Dirty.

“Price was good, but very dirty; diaper next to pool for three days, cigarette buts every place.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[6] • Location:[6]

  • It was a clean normal room with no problems.
  • Room service was very late in the day, after 4 pm.

“If you are looking for a place to sleep while you spend your days at Cedar Point and don't want to pay a lot, this is the place. The pool area could use a bit of cosmetic work, but we were there for Cedar Point and it fit our needs perfectly. The beds were clean, the bathroom was clean, and that was all we cared about.”

  • Was great for a short stay.
  • Pillows were terrible.

“I was not expecting much given the past reviews, but for the price, the hotel room was clean & the staff was friendly. Could use updating, but in all was a good place to stay for an overnight trip.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[3] • Location:[4]

  • The price was very affordable.
  • The rooms were not very clean.

“The hotel is not very well maintained. The carpet was filthy, the beds had long black hairs tangled in the bed sheets. We had to change rooms twice because the air conditioner was not working. We stayed 2 nights and our room was not cleaned nor did we get clean towels without having to ask. The staff look as though they hated their jobs.”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[1] • Location:[9]

  • The hotel was easy to find and close to the freeways.
  • There wasn't adequate parking for the amount of rooms in the hotel.

“The only thing good about this hotel was the location. I had to park far away from the room which made things difficult with 4 children. The night employee was not very friendly or helpful. The "clean" bathroom had a hair and pee on the seat when we first went in the room. The ice bucket also had a hair in it. The heat worked but not the arc. And the pop machine in the hall wasn't working. My overall opinion is that for the price I paid I should have received something at least twice as nice.”

  • Perfect price if you only need a place to lay your head.
  • Kind of dumpy.

“Perfect price if all you want is a place to lay your head. Safe area and close to Cedar Point.”

  • Absolutely nothing.
  • From the unfriendly checkin to checking out it was just plain scary.

“The person that checked us in at the desk wasn't friendly at all. The placed stunk. There wasn't very good parking. I slept with my clothes on & put a jacket over my pillow. It was very dirty & scary feeling. We thought about paying more & going somewhere else. I would never recommend that place or stay there again. It's the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[9] • Location:[10]

  • The location was in a great spot. The room was very clean and for the money it was well worth it.
  • I had NO toilet paper in the bathroom.

“Very nice place to stay as far as I was concerned. I thought for the price it was a great deal and really enjoyed my self.”

Aug 4, 2005 by Gerry from Elma, NY
Overall Rating: 1 Overall user rating
Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[5] • Location:[5]

  • It was close to the ohio turnpike
  • No curtains, cobwebs everywhere, stains on the pillowcase, noisy environment

“Would never stay at a Travelodge again after this experience. No curtains, just blinds that couldn't keep the outdoor lighting from making the whole room lit up even after dark. TV was old and had no remote. Surprisingly, the bathroom was fairly clean for such a dump. I stayed a few hours and left before midnight, knowing I wasn't going to get any sleep, and drove 4 hours to my clean, well maintained home. ”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[8] • Location:[8]

  • Helpful staff
  • All room doors open to outside. Our room was on the first floor and the curtain did not close entirely to ensure privacy.

“The hotel was acceptable for the star rating. Although, I thought it would be a little better being that it is in a tourist area. The price was good for a hotel in the area, near Cedar Point, but was too much for our specific hotel.”

“according to their web site, there were to be jaccuzzis in room, indoor and outdoor pool etc. The rooms looked like a 1960's room, with a bad television, smoke detector that kept going off, even after replacing the batteries. There were NO jacuzzis OR indoor pool. The property is run down and in need of a complete rehab. ”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[4] • Location:[5]

  • our room was so stinky and dusty

“The location was fairly central and conveniently close to shops. Our room however was a disaster, it hasn't been swept or dusted and I had to buy Neutra Air just so my kids can sleep there. My eldest child (3) kept saying the room was stinky and he wasn't kidding! There was mildew stains on the ceiling by the sink. I was very disappointed.”
