• Close to Cedar Point.
• No water pressure/old food.

“I am so glad my vacation is over, this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. My family and I stayed here for 2 nights to have a great time on Lake Erie. This hotel did not have any water pressure. The staff purchased dough nuts for breakfast however the food was one day old. The water is not fit to drink at all. It's a good thing we brought our own blankets they do not wash there's at all. I would rather drive 30 minutes to have a nice room then to ever stay here again. We will not be back. I would rather stay at the Bates Motel.”

• Great location for going to Cedar Point.
• The fitted sheet on the bed was kept coming off the mattress.

“The Howard Johnson was adequate on all accounts. The rooms were clean but not spotless. Overall I would stay here again.”

• Train kept waking us up during the night. Older motel.

“The hotel was moderately priced and offered a free, cold, breakfast. It was also close to Cedar Point. On the negative side, it was an older motel. Train tracks near the motel woke us up several times during the night.”

• The hotel was a good price.
• The sheets were nasty and the AC didn't work.

“It was a cheap hotel ideal for business travelers who just want to save a buck or two. The sheets were nasty. Almost no parking available in their tiny parking lot. And the AC didn't work.”

• It was a run-down hole in the wall.

“This hotel is not located across from the entrance of Cedar Point. It is located across from the Sign. The restaurant across the street was awful. The rooms we're run down, the first room that they gave us had a leaky faucet. The parking was nice though, but that was probably because they didn't have much business.”

“I would stay at this hotel again because of the closeness to cedar point. I think it could have been cleaner and smelled better. The bathroom wasn't very clean.”

• The pool was so little.

“It was for the most part clean. It could use a little bit of updating in the rooms. The beds were comfortable but would be nice if they put 4 pillows on the bed.”

• The rooms were very clean, the AC was cold, showers hot, great location close to Cedar Point!
• It was close to the railroad tracks and the view from the back wasn't great.

“Hojo Express is a great place to stay while at Cedar Point. It was much better than I was expecting. The rooms were very clean, the TV channels came in clear, the front desk staff was very friendly, the breakfast was good, the pool was close by. It's located just outside the Cedar Point causeway.”

• The location to Cedar Point Park.
• It was noisy. AC units need updated. Room beside me had bugs in it.

“The rooms were not very clean. The entire hotel needs updated. The one thing that really made me irritated was that the staff was unable to issue me a receipt after checking out. I was to stay three nights but only stayed two nights so I still am not sure what I was charged until I get my credit card statement. The location to Cedar Point Park was across the street but if are planning to walk to the park forget it. The police do not allow foot travel to the park. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.”

“This hotel is OK if you are going to Cedar Point, it is just around the corner. Fine if you are just going to be sleeping and leaving.”

• Location, location, location! The staff was very friendly. Great value!
• Kind of close to the railroad tracks, not too bothersome though!

“Great value. The cleaning staff was very friendly. Continental breakfast was good, doughnuts, juices, and cereal. I will definitely look them up again. SUPER easy to get to Cedar Point! Why pay the premiums to stay "on site" when this is JUST as convenient!”

“Room was supposed to be a nonsmoking room when we entered it reeked so bad of cigarette smoke! It was so late when we got to room and kids were exhausted we discovered a filthy room! There was mold on the shower curtain and all over in the bathroom. Staff accused us of smoking in room and were not cooperative at all. The manager would not comply with my request to get her bosses number. She was rather rude! I would not allow my dog to stay there! It really put a damper on family time but we overcame it!”

• The swimming pool was fun.
• Scarce continental breakfast and crowded eating area.

• Room was a bit on the small size, no mini fridge.

“We only needed a bed for the night; we spent all day at cedar point, and were going back to the park 1st thing in the morning. Easy check in after a late night in the park, good bed, nice cold working AC, and clean large bathroom.”

• Dirty, creepy.

“Mold on ceiling in bathroom. Fresh towels were moist. Big gap under front door that provided view to the outdoors. Debated over whether the bedbugs or the hobos would bite. Seedy location, though close to Cedar Point. Didn't want to run the backlight around that room. Pretty disturbing, overall.”
