  • Location.
  • Fees.

“Save your money. Location is great but it is overpriced, service is poor, not clean, and mandatory $25 fee for things you don't use is outrageous. You can get the same experience at a cheaper hotel just a block down the street. Very disappointing.”

  • The beach was great and the availability of cabanas was also a nice touch.
  • It was a depressingly old hotel. We stayed in a room that had an outside door and felt like we were thrown back in time.

“This hotel was depressing. Our room was horrible and I wanted to cry on several occasions.”

  • Great amenities, beatiful beach front.
  • Wireless internet doesn't work.

“This is a nice hotel if you don't mind shelling out more that all the other local hotels. Don't come here on business.”

  • Clean friendly & fun for kids.
  • Housekeeping did not reply the 3 times called.

“Loved the hotel, lots of fun for teenagers with plenty for all to do.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[7] • Location:[8]

  • Room and grounds clean nice beach.
  • Lot of hidden fees, staff not overly friendly, allowed inappropriate adult behavior in children's area.

“Fair to good place to stay, nice grounds, beach and rooms. Staff could be friendlier. Family friendly. Some but not a lot of kids activity. Food good but pricey, better alternatives down the street. Drinks were fair to poor. Watch out for the hidden fees and cost to use many amenities.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[5] • Location:[9]

  • Location on the beach.
  • Too many drunks, and the fact that sell memberships to their pools, so it is not just the guests of the hotel using the facility.

“The rooms were just ok, something you would expect to see in a beach area reminded me of Virginia beach and Ocean city. The prices of drinks, refreshments was a bit outrageous, $20.00 for 2 pina coladas, $3.00 for a 16 oz bottle of water. There also seemed to a lot of chaos with the valets and the lobby. The police were called in at one point, half their staff quit, so the valet was a nightmare. People passed out on the sofas in the lobby drunk! Seems they need a bit of help in the organizational structure. Otherwise it was good for us in that we wanted a place on the beach. The bathrooms were very clean, ate breakfast at Bermudas, waitress was pushing the buffet but we just wanted waffles took over 40 minutes to get the waffles and they were cold. May have been the misfortune of getting the server that we did, she seemed frazzled and overwhelmed, at what was mainly a buffet.”

  • Everything. Lots of employees who were very friendly. Very nice, clean accommodations.
  • Elevators were slow at times. Had trouble with hot water.

“Excellent food and accommodations. Perfect for a conference, beach wedding or family vacation.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[9] • Location:[8]

  • Clean, friendly, beautiful, ocean view, family oriented, plenty of space.
  • Alarm clock broken & Window crank didn't work. Parking was crowded.

“The resort was beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. Plenty of lounge chairs, hammocks, and chairs to relax on. Multiple pools and hot tubs. Clean beach front property. Nice restaurants and a pizza hut for cheap and quick. Would recommend and would like to return again.”

  • The pool was wonderful and it was just a few steps away form the ocean.
  • The air conditioner kept coming on and off. When it was off the room became a little warm.

“Overall, a very nice stay. And for the price. Worth every penny.”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[7] • Location:[8]

  • The location was great right on the beach and the pools were decent, a bit small but ok.
  • The room was old and tired and the beds were very uncomfortable, no parking and the resort fee is ridiculous.

“The hotel was in an excellent location, right on the beach which and there were enough pools for everyone. The rooms were small and very old and tired looking. There were only two elevators for the whole hotel and the wait was long at times. The parking situation was a nightmare. We drove around for 20 minutes and still can't find a parking space so we had to double park. The hotel ground was beautiful and very relaxing and the staff seem friendly enough.”

  • Beach view, cabanas.
  • Wait to get a room, cheesy furnishings, very crowded.

“Very busy, tourist-oriented hotel with beach-themed cheesy furniture in an older, updated building. Mot luxury, but it does have some amenities that kids will enjoy. Expect lots of weddings and bustle. Hard to find a parking space.”

  • Dining was excellent and they upgraded us to a two bedroom suite.
  • I was shocked, they levied a $25 extra charge for amenities.

“Great location on the beach, very nice lobby, carpets quite worn in other areas, several pools, paddle boats, kid friendly, pleasant staff, excellent restaurant. Very pleased. We would have liked a late check out however they charge $20 per hour and they had already charged us an additional $25 for amenities which we did not have time to use.”

  • The wide range of amenities, restaurants and luxurious atmosphere.
  • The staff was not as friendly as they could have been.

“Great place. Nothing bad to say except that some of the staff was either surprised to see me or unhappy about my presence. I am African American and I feel that some of the staff wasn't comfortable with my presence.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[4] • Location:[10]

  • Beautiful beach.
  • Tasteless food, cocktails prepared poorly, indifferent attitude of hotel staff.

“The best thing about this hotel is the beach and the location. We were in town for the Red Sox vs. Rays series and felt the drive to the Tropicana was decent from this hotel. The hotel is old and run down. The staff do not care about the guests. The bartenders do not know how to mix shots, make a simple drink like a long island iced tea or how to prepare a frozen drink that has a remote taste like the fruit it is supposed to represent. The food at the Flying Bridge was so tasteless and our order was served at near room temperature (for two burgers and fries). There is a $25.00 per day resort fee.”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[2] • Location:[8]

  • Nice beach.
  • Dirty room.

“When we arrived to our room, it had not been cleaned - looked as if it was party room for hotel housekeeping staff - beds not made, trash not taken out, towels used - no minibar as promised - we arrived late, all restaurants closed and apparently our room is only one in whole hotel without minibar. Engineering staff cleaned our room and although they tried, it was not the same as a cleaning crew. When engineering asked when that room had last been used, the only answer he could get was that - "it had been a while. I'm guessing that hotel employees knew room was never used and then used when they wanted.”

“The hotel was lovely and the amenities for both children and adults were great. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the entire hotel was very clean.”

  • The pool and beach access.
  • $25/night amenities surcharge, parking, charge for internet access.

“The hotel was clean and kept-up pretty well, however the $25/night amenities surcharge that was added to my bill was unexpected and disappointing. It made the nightly rate deceiving. Also, parking was hard to find at times. I would not recommend this hotel to a friend.”
