“We found the Thunderbird to be very affordable in a good location. The pool is very large, have your kids bring mask and fins while you watch them swim to live music, at least while we were there. The rooms are a little small, but nice. The beach is great, you could walk for miles. We were there for fishing and beaching and this place made it happen.”

“Jus recently back from the thunderbird hotel. Gr8 hotel, gr8 location. Bus stops rite at the doorstep, every 10, ins. Gr8 pubs n shops across the street. Maintenance guy, Kevin, is brilliant. He's such a pleasant n lovely guy wit very good manners. He definitely deserves employer of the yr. Nicest guy u will ever meet. The reason I gave the staff rating a 1 was 4the manager in the restaurant. She is so arrogant. We had booked a table 4new yrs dinner, 16 of us. Firstly, 2difrnt waiters took our food order. Then one side got the starters the other side had nothing. We were half way thro our main courses then the other sides main courses came out but they hand had any starters yet. We kept trying 2ask the manager watt was going on she jus walked away went ever we asked. Then half of the starters were missing from the other side. We were finished our main courses n some of my family members still hadn¿t received their main meals yet. We had waited so long that we didn¿t want them anymore. We never got any deserts. Asked the manager if we cud get the bill. She replied, "we'll c, I am wren on it". Their were small kids at the table so they were getting a bit noised up because they were hungry so just left n sat outside our hotel rooms. I think if this was 2continue it will bring the hotel downhill. The restaurant is lovely, food is gr8 and it¿s so handy if u dent want 2go out anywhere. So disappointed wit her. She cud even just come over and apologies 2 us. If we knew they cud handle a table of 16 we wood have gone else where. New yrs were a special event but her attitude ruined it. Apart from that I really enjoyed it. Would recommend it 2 any1. Its pretty cheap 2.”

“Not a "resort," but on the beach. A 60's vintage tourist court that is relatively well maintained, albeit dated.”

“Great location. Shuttle buses near by to explore other communities in the area. Clean rooms Friendly staff. Lots of "after the beach" activities in the court yard. All around nice place. Not real fancy but more of an "old style" ocean side resort.”

“Very nice stretch of clean beach. Clean hotel, but really historic regarding the age of the building. Could use some restoration. Overall, a very nice place to stay with friendly staff.”

“Great place that takes you back in time when hotel rooms were bigger. If you like everything modern and new, this is not the place for you. I have stayed in this area since I was a child and the Thunderbird is a great, older hotel. Yes they could update the rooms but the property is superb.”
