• Older motel but very well taken care of.
• Small fridge was cracked on the bottom but clean inside.

“If you like new things this is not the place for you. I will be going back every year. The location was very safe, no crime and law enforcement everywhere! Three fast food places open till 3 am. My 18 year old got a wonderful history lesson about how things used to be 35 years ago. Remember the good old days? Well this place is it! Good location for Cedar point guests. A good secret get away. There are train tracks nearby but thanks to good landscaping the hills reflect the sound and you cannot hear anything once inside the motel.”

“The front desk clerk was very nice and helpful. But the place looked terrible, the water was cold, wash machine didn't work. I just expected more from this hotel.”

• It was quite and the staff was fairly friendly.
• The appearance of the hallway and the fact we had to ask for air conditioning.

“The restaurant out front made it real unattractive. The hallways were dirty. The room was clean, but we had to ask for air conditioning. The broken down sauna and dirty water in the pool was not a plus.”

• It was semi-close to Cedar Point.

“Although the room was clean, it was the smallest room I've ever been in. The window and door were so close to the bed and the TV stand that we put a chair in between the door and the TV stand in case of night prowlers. The place is in the middle of no where, but like I said it was the closest place by Cedar Point.”

• The scenery behind the hotel was beautiful and relaxing.
• The single bed rooms are really small.

“It was nice and clean. The beds were definitely not as comfortable as home but they were comfortable for being a hotel. The sight out our window towards the back of the hotel was beautiful and relaxing. It was nice to walk around the pond and enjoy nature.”

• Being able to have a 4 double beds was great!
• The room smelled like they had shampooed the carpet and closed all the windows for a few days.

“It was a nice hotel and the front desk people were nice. It was a little out of our way for Cedar Point, but for the price it was good. The room was big, but the carpets felt and smelled like they had shampooed them and not allowed them to air dry completely. The pool was open late, which was nice after a long day at Cedar Point. Overall it was a good experience.”

• For the price it was an excellent choice, nice lobby, big bath.
• I didn't like the curtains.

“I was very pleased. It was just as good as staying at an expensive room, but at a more reasonable, consumer friendly price.”

“The hotel's outdoor pool and sauna did not work. The bathroom was not as clean as I would have expected, and the shower curtain needed to be replaced. For 1 night, it was tolerable, but I would never stay for any longer than that. We had a group of children that we were thanking for their hard work, and this was definitely not one of the highlights of our trip.”

• Parking was not the best.

“Upon check-in we went to our room to find that it had not been cleaned from the previous night. it took them about 45 min. to get the room clean while we set in the room and waited. no cable TV either.”

• Excellent beds. Classy room. Clean pools. Friendly staff. Cute town.
• No elevator. An elevator means a lot to Seniors.

“We would stay here again. Quiet setting. Richly appointed rooms are the best surprise! Very clean. Comfortable beds. Had microwave, mini-fridge, quality TV, fun cocktail lounge and a luxurious lobby. They have play areas for children and indoor and out door pools. Some equipment on the property needed repair but was in safe working order. This is an older property that is well maintained. It was in a quaint town with wonderful attractions nearby. Cedar Point and Sandusky. Train Museum. Senaca Cavern. Lake Erie and The Bass Islands. Coffee and pastry is included each morning. We would be happy to stay here any time.”

• It had a restaurant right in front of the motel. Free coffee in the lobby.
• The decor in the rooms was old fashioned.

“The people were nice and the room was clean but the full sized bed was too small for my husband and me. We were not given a choice of bed size.”

“Outside pool was empty - no water and unusable. Inside pool area was dirty, trash and ashtrays overflowing. Continental breakfast was donuts, that's it, just donuts. Only 3 towels in a double occupancy . room and they were extremely thin. I would never stay here again.”

• close to a McDonald's...
• badly in need of ALL kinds of maintenance...

“The Bellevue needs a refurbishing from one end to the other. Pool & Sauna & Hottub all inoperable or in need of repair. Screeching/dripping faucet in bathroom. Linens are paper-thin. The rooms were adequately cleaned but definitely NOT adequately maintained.”

“The hotel was what I expected, ok. It was a bit to much money for the quality of this kind of hotel. The best thing about this place is the hot tub and pool. Its less than an hour away from the best bird watching in Ohio.”
