• Pool was great and walk to beach wasn't bad.
• Couldn't use public areas because of high pitch sound to keep birds away.

“I went with two teenagers and an 11 year old. We got a suite so the two teenage girls could enjoy the bedroom area. The high pitched sound in the lobby areas is so bad that you can't stand to be in there.”

• Location, the pool and amenities, the rooms are great.
• That I had to leave but I will be back.

“The front desk staff was welcoming and very efficient. When we got to our room it was clean and very well appointed. The food in the restaurants was very good, the food in the steak house is excellent. while at the pool bar we ordered food and while it was served in to go boxes the quality was still excellent. Service in all locations was superb. "GREAT PLACE" Holiday Inn Harbor side and Jimmy Guana's Bar and restaurant. Don't forget "The Brew masters Steak House" great steak and seafood.”

• Poorly lit parking, moldy odors, door didn't shut, no elevator to suites, dangerous staircase.

• Good location.
• Room did not have outside view. Toilet backed up first day.

“If possible, look into staying at one of the many smaller places along Indian Rocks Beach, especially if you don't like larger complexes. The rate was overpriced peak season compared to smaller family owned places along the beach. I saw many vacancy signs up and wished I had known about these other places. Staff were helpful enough.”

• Location. Near beach and good seafood eating establishments.
• Our particular room was close to the lounge. The noise encroached but we didn't mind. Some might.

“Nice older facilities. Had rained that day and some stairwells had water accumulation on some of the treads. Could be hazardous to the unaware.”

• Our room was not ready at check-in so they up graded to a very nice room.
• You had to walk to the beach (2 blocks).

“It was clean and roomy. Did not really have to drive any where, all you needed was there.”

• We loved everything!

“We absolutely loved this hotel; charming Key West style hotel in a lovely, quiet, town. Our room was very well appointed, cleaned to perfection each day and we loved the vaulted ceiling and fan. Beds, with lots of pillows on each, were super comfortable. The Waterfall Pool was excellent, lots of fun and not crowded on the couple of occasions we used it. Perfect for a family. Rum Runners Bar poolside was super. There were plenty of lounge chairs and umbrella tables around the pool. We felt like we were out on the deck of a cruise ship. The atmosphere was great. We dined at both restaurants and enjoyed our meals; the service was excellent in both. We loved the atrium and the park benches where we could just sit and people watch, or read, or whatever. We didn't use the workout facility (except to get towels for the pool) although it has plenty to offer. The kids had fun in the Arcade, and the gift shop held something for everyone. The front desk staff were all friendly and helpful and check in and out was a breeze. We am so happy we found this hotel, it will definitely be our base of operations for every visit to our family in the Clearwater area. We can't say enough good things about the hotel, we loved it.”

• Open air, good views, nice restaurants and pool area.
• Only one elevator for the entire hotel, which was very slow and used very frequently by the hotel staff and their large carts.

“Good hotel if you are only staying a couple days. Any longer and it might not leave a fantastic impression. Great for kids. A couple of blocks from the ocean (not right across the street as stated). Nothing on the beach (restaurants/bars). Excellent food at the two connecting restaurants. Overall we had a great time. Fun is what you make of it.”

• It's location at the beach.
• Poor upkeep 'Amenities', weight room in poor condition etc.

“The hotel's location is it's biggest plus. The upkeep of the amenities is poor. Some examples, the Internet was down, the weight room in poor condition, no water in the fitness room, shortage of pool towels. The staff was polite, but never had the water bottles put in but they did have the Internet fixed.”

• The staff was friendly.
• Any hotel that has a bar with a live band 15 yards from a $200 a night room has its priorities out of line.

“The hotel did not live up to its internet propaganda. A very dated hotel which I would describe as an enormous white vinyl elephant. With a live band playing at the end of its open air lobby encouraging alcohol consumption and partying this is not the hotel for someone hoping for a good nights sleep.”
