  • Nothing.
  • They are racist & wouldn't refund my money when they refused my stay.

“I checked in to the Hartwell Days Inn on 9/3/06 around 3 pm. Upon receiving my room key (room 132), I proceeded to my car & then drove to Anderson, SC. I never entered the room. I arrived back at the Days Inn around 6pm & entered room 132 for the 1st time. Immediately I noticed 1 of the double beds was broken. I promptly called the front desk to notify them of the issue. With me were my 2 friends, Tameka Jackson & Crystal Leonard, Crystals 3 year old daughter & my step mother, Angela Jeter who had just stopped in to rest before they left to go their separate way. I did not know it was against Days Inn policy for unregistered guests to be in the room at any time. These 3 ladies were planning on staying next door at the Best Western since they did not charge for extra people. I had already pre-paid my room so I was staying at the Days Inn. When the woman from the front desk came to look at the bed, she saw that the box spring was broken & offered me to move to another room. She called me to the office & asked if room 133 would be sufficient. I agreed so she had me come to the office to pick up the new room key. When I got to the office, the owner was there & began yelling at me that my guests had to leave. That is when I found out that no unregistered guests were allowed in the room. We had planned to let me shower & change & then go with them to check into their room for them to shower & change so we could leave to enjoy the S Carolina night life. Since I didn't have my own car they were going to wait for me in my room. They had perishables with them & brought them in my room so they would not spoil. I apologized to the owner & said my friends would leave. She gave me a room key to room 124 because she said 133 was already reserved. When I got back to room 132 to get my things me & my guests discussed the situation. It was then decided that I would pay the owner the extra $10 plus tax for my guests to wait for me in my room for a couple hours. We had talked about them get.”
