• Hotel needs renovation and safer parking.

“This hotel was not worth 3 stars. I think it was a 2 star hotel, but the Marriott name probably bumped it up to 3 stars. I have never been in a Marriott that was less than 3-4 stars on my own personal scale, until this one. The parking situation is completely unsafe. I chose to self park in their recommended site less than a half block away, and it is very, very shady. The rooms are in desperate need of renovation also.”

• The proximity to many of the city's attractions.

• The staff was super friendly, it was clean, comfortable, and within walking distance of interesting places.
• The elevator was rattling a little bit.

• Downtown Columbus was boring and quiet.

“Hotel was clean, quiet, and in a central location to Columbus. The hotel staff was professional and knowledgeable. I felt very safe in this hotel. Would stay in the future.”

• The hotel manager was helpful with getting windows for my vehicle after a break in while valet had it.
• Central parking will not take responsibility for your vehicle while in parked with them (the valet service) and there are no other choices for parking.

“The hotel was clean and everyone employed by the Marriott Corporation was nice. Do not stay at this hotel because of central parking. They are your only choice for parking and may not park your car where they tell you it will be parked. My 50 day old vehicle was broken into and items were stolen. Central parking is unwilling to help in any way.”

• The young man working during the evening was excellent and very helpful. Great asset to the hotel.
• The lounge closed 1/2 hour early. Not customer service friendly.

“The hotel was not quite what I thought it would be, but was nice. Our door did not close or lock properly. Did not exactly provide a secure feeling.”

• The staff was incredible!
• You have to take steps to access the elevator from the front desk.

“Shortly after arrival in Columbus I had an accident, injuring my foot/ankle. When I got to the hotel they quickly got me a wheelchair and bags of ice, then they made sure I get in to my room asap, and that I was comfortable.”

• Nice facility, amenities, and staff. HDTV.
• Did not know it was valet parking only $18/day.

“Great hotel in downtown Columbus, not overly upscale but much better than other hotels I've stayed at. I did not know that parking was valet only at 18$/day, though there was a $6 garage we found a couple of blocks west of the hotel.”

• The staff. I had a stay of 2 nights, when I left in the morning I was checked out. I never went and checked out. Not sure why this happened.

• Hotel registration staff was very friendly and helpful.
• Having to pay for parking was a real turnoff.

“Hotel in located in downtown Columbus, Ohio. Valet attendants will park your car for a fee, as this is the only option for parking at this hotel. Bedroom was clean and affordable. Family friendly but would be better for business travelers. Indoor pool was clean and welcoming.”
