“The hotel room was excellent. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant in which we had to wait a considerable time for a table. Once we were moved into the dining area there were a large amount of open tables. If the buffet is open just allow people to sit.”

“Great place. It's in the heart of all venues Downtown. Within walking distance to great dining, entertainment, etc. The hotel staff went beyond the call of duty and exceeded my expectations. Upon checking in, I was unsatisfied with the size of my room. I contacted the front desk and asked to be upgraded and when it came time to pay, the representative informed me that she would be upgrading my accommodations to a Junior Suite on the 62nd floor, free of charge. Needless to say, I was very please and the new room was beautiful. The staff is great and pride themselves on customer satisfaction.”

“This is a very nice hotel. Good location and a great view. Beds are very, very comfortable! Room service was great, food was delicious and hot. Would stay here again.”

“The hotel was not meant for families (there wasn't even a pool, 72 floors and not one pool, we couldn't take in our cooler-security reasons we understand) and the restaurants were very expensive. The $20 parking was also a lot. The view was spectacular, no doubt. The people mover and location was awesome.”

“Great overall stay! You can take the people mover from the hotel to anywhere in the city. (people mover is there above ground subway) Detroit is new and clean, great party town.”

“Room so comfortable, view incredible, too many amenities too list but here it goes. Food court, nice upscale dining that local love to visit, mall and CVS, People Mover station in hotel, nicest staff ever! I have been to Detroit twice and I will never go anywhere else. Perfect for the inexperienced traveler or business person.”

“The hotel is located in the GM owned Detroit Renaissance Center. GM Has invested millions of dollars with renovations to the Ren Center. As it is 1st class all the way.”

“This hotel is in the heart of the general motors world headquarters complex in the Renaissance Center right on the Detroit river in Downtown Detroit. It has wonderful views of Windsor, Ontario, Canada across the river. Since it is in the middle of the gm complex, there are numerous stores and restaurants accessible without going outside. Restaurants range from fast food chains to high end dining. The complex is not very pretty with all the concrete walls, but they are trying to make it more pleasing to the eye and the view of the river and convenient Downtown location is well worth the stay.”

“We had a great room on the 59th floor. The view of the river and Canada at night is great! This hotel is known for their beds and ours was very comfy! The customer service was excellent, even though I am sure there were hundreds of customers everyone addressed me by name. That was a nice touch.”

“This hotel, wrapped around the GM headquarters, has to be the most beautiful and best maintained hotel in all of Detroit. This hotel has parking underneath it but I parked on the wrong side of the street and had to walk back across through an overhead tunnel which was kind of neat. But it would have been easier if I parked in the right place.”

“The windows frosted on the inside, their was lots of traffic noise, so it was difficult to sleep, the toilet clogged 3 times, I had to call the Janitor twice, finding restaurants and stores proved to be very confusing.”
