“Rooms are nice with full kitchen, fireplace, and sink outside of the bathroom. Breakfast has more than ample selections. Hotel is a little hard to find and the neighborhood is apparently bad, there is a security vehicle waiting at the entrance, brick wall with barbed wire on top around most of the property, and a security guard walking the grounds.”

“I was in charge of selecting a hotel for this emergency trip. My family was very pleased with the selection and the amenities offered at the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised find full size kitchen appliances which made the trip expenses lower than expected.”

“The hotel was nice. The room was very spacious and clean. The appearance of the buildings is not very attractive. They offer a hot breakfast for their customers however you have to walk from your building to the office in the snow, rain, cold weather. Not very convenient for the customer.”

“When we arrived around 10:30pm we were stopped at the entrance by a security guard in a car. Once they saw that we were staying at the hotel they let us pass. I appreciate the security but this makes me question how safe the property really is. When we got to our room, my son wanted to order a movie on pay per view. Half way into the movie it locked up. After calling the front desk to ask that the charge be taken off our bill, I was told that they were sending security to check the problem out. After they arrived, it was obvious that they couldn't correct the problem. At that point I again asked to drop the charges. The security guard agreed to notify the front desk. About 20 minutes later the front desk called to say that they were sending someone back with a new remote. By this time it was almost 11:30pm and I told them that we had too much time had gone by and we wanted to skip trying to fix the system and just go to bed. The person at the front desk refused and said I would be charged for the movie we couldn't watch. I explained that I didn't think it was fair to be charged $13.00 for a movie we couldn't watch. The front desk person said I was wrong; the movie was only $12.99! Go figure! I reluctantly agreed to let them try one more time. Knowing full well that the remote was not the problem. Sure enough, the security guard came back and tried for several minutes to get the movie running. No luck. About 10 minutes later (well after midnight) the front desk called back and agreed to drop the charges. Not the treatment Id expect from a Marriott! The next morning when taking a shower, I noticed dark mold in the corners of the shower stall.”

“Great staff, wonderful grounds, homey rooms, and great hospitality hours. We try to stay at "The Residence Inns whenever we can instead of the usual hotels and this stay was just as good. Though it was a little hard to find it was very convenient. Map Quest had us ten miles off though.”

“Well located and convenient to amenities and Dearborn sites. Easy to get too. Good parking. I was a bit surprised that overnight security screens ever vehicle that comes in, but it did provide a measure of security, although I did not think the area was one where such measures would be required. Great complimentary breakfast with wonderful person at the front desk and the breakfast area.”

“The front desk at evening and overnight shift is very rude and trashy! And housekeeping was very nasty they dont do there job. We went 2 days with out our room being cleaned! We found dog bones under the couch and dog hair. The other room we had there was dog food under the couch. The toilet was broken for 2 day we had to fix our own toilet. They had no toilet paper. Then when we asked why our rooms werent cleaned the housekeeping lied about cleaning our rooms. And I never saw yellow pool water in my life! The pool was no bigger then two queen mattresses. The rooms were nice they just need to be cleaned better and different front counter staff.”
