• Free WIFI, beds were comfortable.
• No security.

“I am not sure what was going on the night I stayed in this hotel but it was extremely noisy at 3 and 4 am. I could not sleep, doors were slamming, people were loudly talking and laughing. I have stayed at this hotel before without any problems. I was disappointed this time around.”

• Good location - clean.
• Could hear other hotel guests through wall.

“The Courtyard by Marriott in Southfield was clean. Staff were unable to upgrade me to a king size bed although the hotel was operating at less than 50% capacity. Also, you could hear the
TV from next room.”

• The staff was very friendly and always willing to help!
• I can't think of anything. I loved my stay.

“I had an excellent experience from check-in to check-out. The staff was great. The hotel and rooms were very nice and well maintained. The pool was excellent. My children had a great time. The breakfast was well prepared and tasted great! My family and I had a wonderful time. My stay at this hotel only added to a most pleasurable trip!”

• It was close to where we had to be.
• We were right by the pool room and it does not close till 11pm so it was very loud and kids were running in the hall very late at night, had to call se.

“We only wanted to get some sleep before a very long drive home, there were kids in the halls banging on doors and yelling very late at night, we had to call security twice! There was also someone elses hair all over the bathroom floor; we did not expect that since we had to wait to check in so they could clean a room for us.”

• The AM staff was very helpful, great amenities!
• No restaurants nearby, perhaps more snack items available in the evening. Loved the pool!

• Room was nice.
• Noisy neighbors, rude front desk clerk.

“The hotel was nice, my only complaint was noisy neighbors, which kept us up all night. The staff did not do anything to accommodate us for the night i.e., (let the neighbors know that they were loud, or put them out). However I spoke to the manager and she apologized for the rudeness of her front desk clerk and will mail me a voucher for my next stay at the Courtyard Marriott”

• The front desk staff was helpful with directions.

“The hotel was very nice and included a fitness room and pool. Since one of the major freeways leading to downtown was closed, the front desk staff was very helpful with alternatives. The check out process was quick and efficiently done.”

• Indoor pool and whirlpool were unexpected bonus; I didn't think courtyard had them.
• Did not get our wake up call. Not a huge deal, we set our cell phone alarms.

“Nice room, comfortable beds. The only relatively minor feature missing from the room was a refrigerator. At this level of accommodation we are used to getting a fridge.”

• Right off of the expressway.
• Pool was conveniently closed until check out.

“When we first checked in they said the pool was closed for cleaning until Sunday so we got up early Sunday to go swimming. Well the clerk then told us that it was under construction and would not be open but we could go out in the cold and wet next door and swim at the Marriott. When we were checking out the sign was off of the pool for cleaning and I guess it was open (conveniently after check-out). This was a total chaos to a child who you promised time after their lies that they could go swimming. I was very unhappy with their excuses!!!”

• Staff and cleanliness of the hotel were superb.
• The Internet was not high speed and my dell computer was not compatible. IBahn does not work for me in any of the courtyard I've stayed in.

• The exercise room was clean and everything was functioning.
• I did not care for the older elevator, it was slow and "rickety".

“It was a pleasant stay. The room was very quiet despite being near the expressway. The curtains kept the room dark even with the outdoor lights. Guests were spaced out far enough that it was not noticeable that I had neighbors. The lobby was very comfortable to stay in, since I had some time to kill before my afternoon appointment.”

• Brand new renovations in rooms and lobby, great new look!
• Courtyard beds are still rock hard, always have been. Get new mattresses!

“Very difficult location to get to off a service road or interstate exchange. No restaurants within immediate area. Beds are rock hard (typical for courtyards which you need to change). Hotel has the new modern updates or furnishings which is a great improvement!”

• The bed and decor.
• There is no where to eat near the hotel.

“The hotel was very nice and comfortable. The biggest problem is that there is no place to eat near the hotel. Some sort of affordable sandwich service until midnight would be perfect!”

• Room was clean and seemingly new.
• The "new" paint or wallpaper smell was a bit overpowering in the room.

“The hotel was very nice, but was being worked on and smelled like paint or new wallpaper. There were no vending machines other than soda, and there wasn't a convenience center or anything available like that. It was clean, but no frills.”

• The staff was very pleasant, room was spacious.
• Rooms do not have microwaves or refrigerators for leftovers from the holiday or dining, no vent or sauna light in bathroom.

“The hotel was conveniently located near a major high way, it had recently been renovated with new bedding and furniture in the lobby; the hotel offered continental breakfast as well as a full service dining area as well. Overall, the hotel, the staff, and the price made our stay during Christmas quite enjoyable.”

• It's a construction site wholly disgusting that they would continue renting in that state.

“Totally unacceptable should be closed down for the kind of refurbishment that they're doing. The staff were quite friendly and helpful with a small reservation issue I had reservation had been cancelled due to late arrival.”
