“The hotel cleaning staff knocked on our door at 8:15 in the morning to see if we where checking out that day. My kids where still sleeping and she woke them up.”

  • It was under construction.

“The hotel was under construction when we were there so the was a lot of dirt and our view from the room was of demolition equipment. Also you do not even get a free continental breakfast unless you are some sort of member. The bed was comfortable but that was the only good thing about this hotel.”

“Hotel was in complete disarray. Some of the staff was very helpful while others were completely rude and unfriendly. I have been to many hotels in my days and this one definitely makes my top 10 list of ones to never return to.”

  • Great bed!
  • No internet the entire stay.

“The hotel room was great. They were under going a renovation and there was no internet for my entire stay. The room service was very poor. I ordered once and the food was so-so. Tried to order again for lunch, but the kitchen closed early. Very poor service for a Hilton.”

  • Nothing did I like about the hotel.
  • I requested baby crib and called ahead and was told that they had none available. The bedding was dirty. The bathroom floor was very dirty.

“I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The room was very dirty. We requested baby crib and was not provided one. Bathroom was dirty. Parking lot needed fixing. Desk personnel need training on how to talk to people.”

  • The staff was very friendly and helpful when I checked in. They were more than willing to switch my room when the micro or the fridge. Didn't work.
  • They were remodeling and there was quite a bit of junk outside my window. Nasty view.

  • Location was very convenient to i-696, local restaurants as well.
  • Not too much here-hotel is undergoing renovations. This is about the only negative.

“Will be a keeper when renovations are complete. Location is excellent, rooms spacious. Did not use much of the facilities (dining or other). If you need clean, safe and great location in the Southfield, mi area this is a good one.”

  • It was a convenient location.
  • I had to call and request housekeeping three times, and it still wasn't clean.

“I think that they should raise their standards a lot. The bathrooms aren't very clean. I had someone from housekeeping leave two rolls of toilet paper in my bathroom after I requested for more toilet paper. The rolls that were in the bathroom were almost gone. For the amount of money you spend on your room the stay is just mediocre.”

  • The bed/pillows were top-rate.
  • Under construction- slight inconvenience.

“Convenient to highways--most suitable for business travelers: housekeeping was knocking at the door on the day of check-out at 8:10 in the morning. Leisure travelers are probably not as likely to have left as yet.”

  • Highway exit was temporarily closed and had detour.

“The staff at the front desk was not friendly and also would not check with the kitchen when I asked when it closed. It was 10:28 pm and he said no, the kitchen closes at 10:30 pm. Also, put me in a smoking room and said all the rooms were pre-assigned and he could not change it. Would never stay here again.”

  • Convenient parking, decent restaurant with fairly priced menu.
  • Limited smoke free rooms.

“A good value hotel with many services and conveniences However we requested a smoke-free room and were told they were all "reserved". Early the next morning I walked the non-smoking floors and observed about one third of the rooms lacked a USA Today paper at the room door. In other words, we were treated as second class customers. I will be most reluctant to stay at a Hilton Hotel in the future.”

  • Big rooms, very nice pool.
  • Under remodel July 2006 - the place was a mess.

“Location not convenient at this time due to road construction. Hotel a mess due to remodel. The rooms that were remodeled were nice but the hallways, parking lot, etc. were a mess. Staff not very friendly either but hopefully the whole environment and attitude will change when the work is complete. Now I know why I got in so cheap.”

“The service that I received was unacceptable. I waited at the counter to check in for three minutes, while the staff carried on a meaningless conversation ignoring my presence until a housekeeper said something! I then waited for 15 minutes at the bar while the bartender walked pass---before I was even served.”
